The new ownership is horrible. The prices are insane and you barely get anything. They even charge for cake and sugar cones. Never have I been charged for that an ice cream shop. it was 20 bucks for 2 cones for my kids and a double scoop for me. My boys cones maybe had 1/4 cup of ice cream on them. won't be back. The owners seem to be out there for the wrong reasons
I’m a long time Smittys customer and former employee of the original owners. I love to support local businesses, however Smittys has drastically gone down hill. Prices are almost double what they were pre covid, the quality is not what it use to be. You could go there and you knew what to expect from the quality. On my last visit it was icy and freezer burnt. I couldn’t get a pup cup for my dog (she loved them) and there is a lot less ice cream in the cup. I love cake...read full review
