Terrible experience. No staff. Had to get my own drinks. Food was horrible. Owner argued with us about our complaints. Charged us for the incorrect items. Would not recommend.

Best pizza in the area.

Our favorite Italian restaurant in Greensboro. Food is incredible, service is great! Would highly recommend.

I don't get some of the negative reviews to each it's own though .Me and my wife went there the other day and everything from the reception to the end of the meal was 5/5. Nothing negative to say food was spot on thanks chef and waitstaff will definitely return !

Not a great place to eat if you’re wanting a “taste from Italy”. Will NEVER go back and be aware the waitresses charge you more and write in on your receipt when you leave. Definitely check your bank statement when you leave.

Everything was amazing. Even the house salad is full of fresh cut cheese and cucumbers. I come for the Lobster Ravioli . The best I anywhere I have eaten.

Accurately, I give Giovanni's a 4.5, but only due to pricing. Our waitress, Cara, was phenomenal at attentiveness, consideration, and kindness. While waiting for our appetizer, Cara brought us a free salad due to waiting moreso than usual. For the appetizer, we ordered the Lamb Lolipops, which were good, but the quantity was not worth the price (it cost more than the entrée, without chicken added. About six bites). The entrée of choice was Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken added and it was the best I've ever had; worth it. For dessert, we had the Tiramisu, which was also great. The atmosphere was classy, lighted perfectly, and clean. As mentioned previously, the only reason I won't accurately give Giovanni's a 5 is simply due to some of the overpriced menu items. This place is nice and I'm sure we'll be back, hoping Cara will be our waitress every time.

We had a lovely experience at Giovanni’s Friday night. The atmosphere was great, the service by Cara was awesome (she was very attentive), and the food was nice. We received bread and oil almost as soon as we sat down, and the bread was soft and delicious. We did not like the lamb lollipops as much as we’d hoped to, but everything else was great. The fettuccine alfredo with chicken was fantastic (truly one of the best we’ve ever had), the salad that came with it was also very good, and the tiramisu was delicious. We would love to come back.

Great customer service from Keri, she was awesome! We recommend the NZ lamb.

Service was awful, the server did not know how to pronounce the dishes herself and poured a bottle of wine with the foil dangling from the bottle. Appetizers AND Entrees came in at the SAME time and my side came in very late. I had asked for the side to be reheated and was taken and never came. Got charged for it and wasn't allowed to get a refund because I had already paid. I was given a $15 off next visit coupon for my troubles which is AWFUL, hands down the worst experience ever.

We were able to sit outside and it was like having the whole restaurant to ourselves! Our server was sweet, attentive and knowledgeable, and the food was amazing. I highly recommend the Korean barbecue Bern and if you're looking at appetizers, and the crème brûlée for dessert.

I really hate leaving poor reviews, and I know I visited on a particularly bad night when the restaurant was severely understaffed—but the dining experience was so disappointing, it bordered on comical. It started with our server bringing out the wrong champagne, then accidentally spilling the entire glass when he set it down. I later ordered a glass of red wine and even pointed to it on the menu, but he still brought out the wrong wine (a Moscato). When our food finally arrived, the "Mixed Vegetables" side turned out to be a quarter of an uncooked tomato, a single piece of lettuce, and three onion peels. I ordered the salmon, which somehow managed to be so overcooked it was chewy. My boyfriend ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo, saying, “You can't mess up pasta,” but it came out with hair in it—more than one strand, and definitely not ours. On a more positive note, the Oyster Rockefeller was a great deal—$10 for a dozen. Unfortunately, by the time they arrived, the cheese on top had already hardened, even though the oysters themselves were piping hot. Still, for the price, I won't complain too much. The decor was also a mixed bag. The dining room ceiling was half-painted, which gave off a neglected vibe, but the bar area looked beautiful. Overall, even with a Groupon, it wasn't a great anniversary dinner. If we had paid full price (around $100 for three glasses of wine, one appetizer, and two entrées), we would've been a lot more upset. Sadly, I can't recommend this place based on our experience.

Unfortunately, the only positive aspect of our experience was the waitress's service, everything else fell short of expectations: - We were greeted badly upon arrival. - We ordered carpaccio but received a thick raw beef with tomato slices and artichoke, which is not carpaccio at all and was inedible. - My pasta dish was served cold, and my wife's was undercooked. - The restaurant's ceiling was partially painted, giving an unfinished appearance. - The establishment was completely empty, suggesting experiencing difficulties. During our meal, someone removed the flower vase from our table as they were leaving. In summary, the restaurant appears to be on the verge of closing. The food quality was subpar, and the atmosphere was unwelcoming. We unfortunately strongly advise avoiding this establishment at all costs.

Lovely service but some of the worst Italian food I've ever had, Pizza was soggy, pasta mushy. Really not good.

I normally would not go out of my way to leave a review and just brush off a bad meal, but this was so bad that I feel inclined to do so to warn others. From the start, we were not greeted at the door. We had reservations and the hostess said she didn’t have a table and wanted to just seat us outside, despite making an indoor reservation and arriving on time. Without apology, she found a table indoors and sat us down. The air vents were disgusting and the ceiling not finished painted. The waitress was either new or completely unaware of the menu and seemed lost. The lights kept flickering and it was so loud that tables had to scream to each other, making it very uncomfortable atmosphere. The food was priced far above the quality served. The waitress almost dropped the food as she was setting it on the table. I ordered a filet Mignon and I have never had a worse steak in my life. It tasted like all char, zero seasoning. The mushroom sauce was mushy and made me nauseous at consumption. My steak came with pasta, that was forgotten. Upon reminding the waitress she brought it back and almost flipped the whole tray again. I also was not given a steak knife with my steak. Service was so slow I tried to eat it with the butter knife but ultimately had to ask the waitress to get me a steak knife. She appeared so unaware of the situation. Drinks took way too long to come and she was unaware if wine was even there despite being listed on the menu. The pasta was terrible and watery and the sauce had no flavor. I was also given a side of vegetables that was quite literally two whole pieces of lettuce with a lemon edge, tomato wedge and Parmesan cheese. In total our bill was 90$ and I could not believe how poor quality it was, how terrible the service was and how dirty the restaurant was. The owner walked around in a very informal outfit for the prices of the restaurant. I would think he would dress nicer and ensure business was flowing properly. I would never go back and hope others see this so they do not even try. Huge waste. I cannot see this place staying open much longer.
