I ordered $28 worth of food here (takeout) and asked for some ginger sauce to go with my hibachi shrimp and rice. The rude girl at the counter said it was an extra charge for ginger sauce since they'd already included white sauce.... Really?? You go ANYWHERE else, they give you both. I would give service 0 stars if I could. They lost a future customer over not giving me some ginger sauce.

The sushi is fresh and neatly prepared (not sloppy like at some places). I loved my recent rainbow roll. We look for Hoba as a favorite lunch stop as we're passing through (pro tip: within walking distance of EV chargers). It's not flashy, but has reliably tasty food and attentive service. A very good alternative to other travel food options.

Hoba used to be amazing. The owners seem to have changed within the last 6 months or so because the food suddenly lost its spark. The egg rolls used to be the best I've ever had but now they seem smaller, not as fresh. I always order the steak rare and it was always perfectly tender and rare but now it is always well done and kind of chewy. My 6 yr old loved the hibachi soup but recently told me it tastes weird. For something like the hibachi steak/shrimp to cost $20 and...
