Great place for a beer!!

The craft beer was really good and the location was open and airy. I enjoyed the Strawberry Milkshake IPA the most out of the flight. The pontoon was least favorite. We ordered boiled peanuts and they were extremely salty, and the manager comped us for them with no problem. We would definitely go again.

Beer good, atmosphere good, service good, facility good, but sadly the BBQ sandwich suffered from shrinkflation (pork serving size was minuscule).

We love City Walk Brewing! The Fallen Arch IPA is our favorite beer. We have tried all of the snacks and have enjoyed all of them. The wings are our favorite! The atmosphere is perfect on a beautiful day! We love to bring our two dogs and they have always been welcomed! The staff is always nice and friendly. And the brewery is very clean. City Walk Brewing is an awesome addition to Hickory!

A good vibe for downtown & an excellent restoration of a landmark!Try the breaker next door at Cranford Brothers. Best I've ever had.

I don't get to take many photos because I had two dogs with me after their walk. We had a good experience. They were sold out of the beer I wanted. Beer was pretty good. Love the outdoor seating area. The vibe is very Asheville. It's a great addition to downtown. When we visited, the barbecue place had not yet opened. I love the location. We will certainly visit again.

We really enjoyed coming here. Beer is good, nice environment, and we really love the speakeasy. Very high quality drinks and food ?? Will definitely be visiting again and will be our go to spot to show people when they are visiting the Hickory area.

Experience is everything--from a small business owner.Owning a small business taught me the most important lesson for customer service: craft an exceptional experience. My husband and I met some friends at a new place in Hickory and were very excited for the experience, but the first encounter we had was from a server who said "sir, please remove your ball cap." I understand and agree with rules that are put in place by an establishment, but a) they have to be posted (see pictures) and b) they have to be enforced with everyone at the establishment. I looked at the bar and saw another man with a ball cap on and wondered why my husband was being singled out. I asked the server about it and she said that "while rules are in place, it is only a suggestion. I cannot force everyone to follow them." Later on, other patrons walked up to the bar wearing ball caps and nothing was done. We will gladly follow rules, but we kindly ask that you make everyone follow them. My other biggest problem is that there was a man who was openly vaping at the bar and I was downwind from the vapor. I DO NOT want to be a part of this AND IT IS ILLEGAL IN NORTH CAROLINA. How and why are other people allowed to do things in your bar, one of them being illegal, and my husband is not allowed to wear a simple hat? You are not creating a good experience for everyone. I talked to the manager and explained that I am NOT looking for something for free and that I will gladly pay for services rendered, but that things need to be changed in order for patrons to continue to return. I will not be. I also looked for the so-called "rules" that are posted for the bar, and they are non-existent. Please see pictures.

Great new place to go for beer and a good time.

Very expensive for the amount of food you get. We paid $12 for a catfish bite appetizer, it was 6 little 1 ounce nuggets. I ordered an $18 cheese steak sandwich, it was about 6 inches long and only had about 4 or 5 bites of meat in it. The smoked turkey sub didn't taste smoked at all and was really more like a chopped salad in a sub roll!? It was a very disappointing $75 lunch and we walked away hungry. I can't recommend it, but if you decide to go, you should also know that the parking situation is a little bit tricky / dangerous.
