Excellent bbq with awesome sauces, made in-house. Many choices of beer and alcohol. Make sure to say hi to Haley working the bar.

After a busy day we decided to order takeout from here and eat it down below at the brewery. I am not a fan of takeout usually but everything was so fresh and well put together in our bag I was blown away. The host was very nice and the bar staff seemed to be having a lot of fun! Our food even 10 minutes later unopened due to getting a drink was still very hot and absolutely delicious. Recommend the smash burger and catfish bites!

First, it's really great to find a barbecue place with alcohol options open on a Sunday.Now......the food was solidly good, not great. The brisket was tender and moist but lacked depth. It needed more flavor. The pulled pork needed more flavor. The slaw and sweet potato casserole were....bland. This place has the potential to be really good, and I hopefully it will be, but more taste effort in the products would be good. The atmosphere and service were great. The location is fabulous and I want to see this place thrive!

Cranford Brothers BBQ is Hands down the best BBQ in town!My favorite is the turkey. It is EXCELLENT!Try a meat platter or a sandwich. TheMac and cheese, potato salad, and the new steak fries are delicious. Try the loaded potato fries or hush puppies before your meal for a real treat!Don’t forget the variety of sauces and try a Cheer-wine slushy (it is delicious and fun addition for the kids or for the kid at heart).Everything is delicious and fresh. Great selections and variety! The atmosphere is fun, rustic-farmhouse, and family friendly. The main seating area is open concept. It is neat to see the preparations and main kitchen while dining. Very clean restaurant and bathrooms. Friendly staff and management. Neat location and great addition in Hickory, NCWheelchair accessibility: Cranford Brothers BBQ is wheelchair accessible. Easy access into resturant and building. It is an open concept floor plan. Easy to navigate your wheelchair, easy pull up at tables when dining, and easy accesswith a large handicap bathroom stall. Staff and management are friendly and willing to help!

I don’t understand why there’s so many good reviews. Came in stood to be seated for 10 minutes with quite literally no other customers in the building. The server was nice and polite, the food on the other hand absolutely not worth it I’d rather spend my money on McDonald’s. Brisket was dry and gamey with the one slice I did order half of it was fat. The ‘sauces’ were not good the vinegar base with ‘a hint of apple’ it’s literally apple cider vinegar, had to spit out the little bit of meat I had. Ranch was filled with vinegar as well. For as expensive as it is you could go to Texas Roadhouse for significantly better tasting food. Stating your bbq is “freshly made” and never “refrigerated” can not be true when brisket comes out barely warm and so dry there’s not a drop of juice on it. Brisket huge no, ribs were just as dry as the brisket but it had a tiny bit flavor, fried mushrooms bigger no, and the sauces were essentially all vinegar so. Cute restaurant but will not be eating here again and I hope this helps prevent someone like myself from paying 40 dollars for food that had lower taste than fast food.

My wife and I decided to have some BBQ for lunch one Sunday so we tried Cranford Brothers. As you walk in you are met by delicious smells of smoked meat. We were seated and I decided to try one of their beers since there is a brewery attached. If you like beer you will not be disappointed. Our server was friendly and helpful. both of us had the pulled pork with collards and ordered a table serving of loaded potato salad. Everything was delicious. Each table has four sauces to try; Eastern NC BBQ, Western NC BBQ, tangy gold, and "Bestern". I am more partial to Western NC and the gold. The vinegary Western sauce dressed my BBQ up nicely. I also want to point out that there was no unpleasant gristle in my BBQ. The collards were great. Perfectly seasoned, hot, and delicious. Even the potlikker made me smack my lips. The loaded potato salad was also good. We would have tried some desert but both of us were full. We can't wait to go back and try more of what they have to offer.

Smash burger had no flavor other than overload on the grilled onions ... Soggy French fries... Brisket had no flavor as well... Paid way too much for lackluster food. Great venue with outdoor seating and good beer tho!

Cranford Bros is a must when in Hickory! From the aroma of smoked meats in the air to the rustic vibes and wide variety of choices - whether you're hungry or thirsty, they have you covered. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between rustic charm and warm hospitality, making you feel right at home. The staff super friendly and knowledgable about their offerings. So if you can't make a decision because too many delicious things to choose from, they are there to help! Now, let's talk about the main event - the barbecue. The Braveheart Beef brisket & Cheshire pulled pork was nothing short of perfection, tender and moist, with each bite melting in your mouth. Plenty of side options but if you love a good spud, Country spud is where it is at! To top it all off they offer a classic - CHEERWINE SLUSHIE - drink it normal or add bourbon/vodka to it. If you never have had one, you must try it!Cranford Bros isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience for all and especially those who love smoked meats. Hickory, NC, is incredibly fortunate to have this gem in its midst. If you find yourself in the area, do your taste buds a favor and experience the magic of Cranford Bros. It's more than a meal!

First time eating here. It’s really nice inside. Smells delish. The food was pretty good. The turkey was cold and most of the sides were kinda cold. Service was good. We will definitely come back and try again. This place and location has a ton of potential. Just gotta read these reviews and make a few changes.
