Fourk is a staple in our restaurant rotation in Hickory. However, it had been quite a while since we visited. The service was a little slow to start. We were given water and menus, and then we waited for 15-20 minutes before our appetizer order was taken. We ordered the Buffalo meatballs and the mussels. They arrived at our table quickly, and both were tasty. Our table ordered the Mahi, orzo chicken, and the seafood melange. All three dishes were really good. For dessert, we had the blackberry wine cake (a MUST for anyone visiting Fourk), and the cheesecake of the day. The blackberry wine cake was fantastic. The cheesecake was very good, too. We will visit Fourk again soon if for nothing other than that blackberry wine cake.

We didn't have a reservation. That is my only complaint they do not open until 5 PM and you can only call for a reservation I was unaware that you had to have a reservation for this establishment. We arrived shortly after 5pm on a Tuesday and we were sat at a tiny high top table by the bar. There were numerous empty tables that were never seated the entire duration we were there, so I was unsure of why we couldn't have one of those tables? The food was impeccable the bartender was our server and he was quite busy with the entire restaurant drink orders so therefore he wasn't able to attend to us as quickly. He did well as to seeing how busy he was with the private parties etc making drinks.

We went to Fourk for dinner Saturday night. We didn't have a reservation but we're able to get a table right away at 5pm. We had appetizers of the Ahi and avocado and crab cakes. Next we had the cranberry salad and Cajun salmon soup. For the main course I had the seafood melange. Service was excellent the dishes we're original and well thought out however they were a bit under seasoned. All in all an excellent meal and we will go back.

1st time here. Not too impressed. Wife and i felt as it was a Bistro atmosphere more so. And we was seated near the kitchen doors ( noisy). Alot going on around that area!! We would have expected a nicer quiet place for what we thought was a more of an upscale restaurant! Waiter NEVER mentioned specials! Why?? The couple that sat behind us as soon as there waitress got to them she went over specials. Wow. Ribeye was ok. Wifes pasta was good. But why no salad to start?? Or bread?? That should have been included. Desert was good. With everything being said here we are just very honest people. No manager? Because nobody bothered to come ask us how our dinner was. Thats not good! If they could have done some of these things we would have given 4-5 stars! But not sure they will change. Just expected better from a place thats a little more upscale. Sorry. Just being HONEST.

Brussels were good. Chicken pasta dish wasn’t good and chicken had a burnt flavor. Risotto was thick and heavy but veggies on top were good. Chocolate Torte was delicious! Service was very good and atmosphere was nice but it was very cold. I had been looking forward to eating there but left disappointed.

Food and service were great but I will say for $41 the seabass portions were disappointing. Very small piece of fish, tiny pile of veggie (more like a garnish) and a little cup of a risotto like macaroni. We wouldn't have ordered it if we realized it was so little food for so much

Was looking for a nice dining experience and Fourk was amazing! Busy holiday night and we walked in and they found a table for us. Excellent cocktails and service but the ribeye steak blew me away. Espresso rub and blue cheese butter so tasty and tender. Best ribeye steak I have had in years! Just go there.

A good place for a small group of friends or a date night. We went on jazz night and the place was lively and fun.

The place looked nice; however we didn’t get a chance to experience it because we were told that we needed a reservation. I would have been okay with that, but the place was empty, like empty, but of course what do I know. I’m hoping that because we didn’t look like the rest of the patrons, that somehow we needed a “reservation” to dine in. Maybe next time, or maybe not we’ll see. We were in town visiting our child that attends LR & just googled restaurants in the area. ? the rating is solely based on skepticism, so forgive me in advance.

Expected better taste for Mahi very fishy taste. Yukon whipped potatoes very good. Ribeye cooked to order husband enjoyed. Ahi Tuna could have been cooked a bit less but nice

We had a good time, the private dining room was nice and all, just we weren't expecting the limited menu (we didn't set up the reservation just joined the group, so that's something that the organizer should be told and pass along to the rest of the group). But the limited menu gave us very few affordable/reasonable options. The food we had was great though, but I heard from some others in the group that their stuff wasn't good, so it seemed like a hit or miss night.

This was our third visit, and it was even better than last time! The Ahi Tuna and Avocado was the absolute best bite I have ever eaten! The service is exceptional, and the food is truly out of this world!
