Was told it would be a half hour wait. It ended up close to 1 hour. We asked for them to sweep up around our table because there was food and napkins everywhere. The service was a little slow but the restaurant was busy. The food was good and prices were fair but watching people who checked in after our party be seated before us did leave a bad taste.

This used to be one of my all time favorite places to eat, but I am sad to see yet another once homey feeling restaraunt go the route of QR code menus. Navigating the menu was cumbersome even though I was largely familiar with the restaurant from going regularly years earlier. While the food was good, and the woman at the register was perfectly pleasant, I prefer for meals to be an escape from the phone, and the experience lacked the charm and personal touch it once had. The food is great. A bit expensive for Mexican food but the portions are large. We eat here occasionally because of the vegan options, which we appreciate. My main complaint is that not only do you have to pay for chips and salsa when it's usually free elsewhere, the bowl is tiny and you don't even get more. It's unusual and we would eat here WAY more often if the chips were free or even refillable if you have to pay for them.
