J&S Cafeteria -Deep River

I'm not going to lie, I secretly love J&S. It takes me back to my childhood going to, shhhh, K&W Cafeteria with my grandparents. I love the variety of seemingly home cooked meals and side dishes. I typically get a veggie plate or some grilled chicken or grilled fish, depending on the day. They have something for everyone and it's a great option for my kids. They love the jello. This is the second time that I have eaten here- We used to live near the friendly shopping center ( K and W )- But I will admit that this location blows away any K and W on quality of the food and especially the service - I asked the waitress if we could get a table for 6 and she made sure that we had a table. The food was ok. The insistence on wearing a mask could have been handled much better by someone in management. The employees behind the counter were not the ones to complain to each other and then to the customers.
