Meritage Bistro

We were lucky enough to be there their last weekend, the restaurant has been sold. What a gem, everything was delicious. The trout, seafood risotto, short ribs, beet salad, chopped salad and berry cobbler and to end it all catdaddy moonshine.

Dinner #2 was at Meritage Bistro in downtown Highlands. FANTASTIC. It was a substitute for Paoletti's after we sort of got screwed out of a reservation there. I originally tried making a reservation there about two months ahead of time but was told they only take them thirty days out. I checked back 32 days ahead of when we wanted to eat there and they were completely booked all four evenings. This was our first time dining here and we were very impressed!! Our waiter Josiah was exceptional and very knowledgeable about the food he was serving. He was very attentive and just a very pleasant person to spend an hour and a half with. I started with the beef tenderloin carpaccio as an appetizer and it was fantastic.
