“Whether I'm here by the pier, spending the weekend at one of the many rentals, or of course eating at Buddy's it's always a great time, this place is an epicenter of what ENC has to offer, you won't be disappointed, unless you have a shellfish allergy or don't like sand......why did you come here if you don't like sand...? Anyway.....100% recommend it as a permanent stop when in the area.“
“This place is really great. We went here the other day and I can’t believe I’ve never been before. The menu is really good - not overcrowded with too many options…it has the right number of options so you can actually pick out what you want. The house chips are great. We definitely will be back and I recommend you check it out too.“
“Easily my new favorite place in NC, or maybe anywhere. They grow and harvest all of their oysters. And wow are they magnificent. On top of that, they serve good wine + beer and chef driven food like tuna tataki, crudo, a fantastic shrimp roll, and a bougie hot dog with caviar!!I can't wait to come back next week. This a gem of this area!“
“We just moved here and my husband and I were looking for a bar near our house. The venue was awesome. Live music,...Sublime covers..so good though! Food truck was awesome and crowd was. 30s 40s. Drinks discounted for ems and fire fighters. But affordable even without the discount. People were friendly and welcoming. Come here.... seriously. It was fun!“
“First time at Larry’s and they definitely did NOT disappoint…from the appetizers to deserts. So many outstanding choices on the menu that there is something for everyone. If you can’t find something you like… you need to not go out to eat. The atmosphere is relaxed family oriented. The servers were fantastic and friendly. We tried many of the menu items and they were all fantastic. Make sure you leave room for dessert. We will most definitely be back again and again.“
“This bar is cute…the music ? they play in the evenings sounds good. We enjoyed it every night as we stayed in the Vacasa rental right next to the bar! The drinks we got today were delish…We got the “TIT” and my daughter got a “trailer trash”….they were both tasty!“
“It is a very hard place to find. It's a small place squeezed in between a row of shops. Beer was good. Very small inside. Didn't eat while there, so I can not rate that. Parking is very limited since it's right beside beach access.“
“Its a great bar with friendly and attentive bartenders, it's spacious, has 4 nice pool tables and a fun pool tournament on Monday nights. Parking in the front and plenty in the back. Friendly folks to hang out with while drinking a cold beer.“
“Dennis and. David and. Bartender are. Awesome. Had a great time singing. Karaoke. Love those. Burgers and. Fries ice cold. Doctor. Peppers. D .J. Helles. Bell was. Awesome.was good to have. James. Back. Singing from. Florida.ill be. Back good seeing old. Friends.“
“We were visiting Topsail for my best friend’s birthday and she picked this place at random. She said while we were playing pool that this added to making her birthday the best one yet! They had a great DJ, lots of games, and the staff went the extra mile to make it special for her even though they didn’t know we were coming. I’m really happy we chose Salty Hawg to end the weekend.“
“Complete and utter vibes. Colder weather means outdoor heaters and tented off space to still be able to "sit outside" but you're warm. Great staff and even greater fun crowd of people. Sat down and had great conversation. Love it in the summer even more open night sky in the warm weather. Great spot would recommend.“
“What an awesome experience! First time in, sat at the bar was welcomed by " Whiskey" ( Jillian)---she is awesome and a great personality! The food was delicious! The beer on tap was awesome too! They have a separate menu each day with specials! I am definitely going back!“
“This is our favorite place to eat on the island. Chips, salsa, guac, cheese dip and margs are fresh and delicious. Menu has so many options and the food always tastes out of this world. It is not your average joe mexican place, it is well well above average.“
“We were driving through trying to find food after 9pm. We stopped here on a Monday night at 9:20 & the bartender was super sweet-Linda is her name!! I got the chicken salad sandwich, husband & uncle got the steak & cheese sub, and my aunt the hamburger. GIRL. BANGINGGGGGG FOOD!!!!! 10/10/10/10. burger was juicyyyyyyy. Steak & cheese was chunks of steak, not like a thin steakum (we actually ended up taking 2 more to go they were so good). Chicken salad sandwich was actual chunks of chicken & not some weird paste.“
“Highly recommend. Went with a group of 10 including 5 children. Nothing bad to say (well, maybe paid parking but oh well). Great food, attentive and caring servers, great ocean view. It’s a popular place as we had a short wait…the sign of a solid restaurant.Parking: There are maybe 4-5 free parking spots but it’s a busy place so expect to pay for parking in nearby lots unless you go after 6pm (then parking is free).“
“Even though it is early January, the place is very laid back and inviting. Don't let the outside fool you, it is great spot for good beers and great food. We had the BBQ Chicken Pizza and it was great! Staff was fun and very enjoyable!“
“Live our lil home away from home between the fact they are the biggest club on the island they are ALWAYS having fun things going on plus APA pool league on Tuesday nights dancing and bands on weekends. Arcade down stairs for the kids. I definitely say check them out!“
“Good food. Good service. Not a bad place. Bathrooms are a bit ‘primitive’ but they were clean. Menu could use an overhaul. It was very close seating - not happy to have people throwing darts right behind me.Parking: Not striped- park at your own risk. Not well lit. Gravel.“
“This waterfront restaurant has seating inside and outside. The outside seating has a nice view of the water. We appreciated being able to bring our dog to sit quietly at our feet at our table outside. We started with the Bam Bam Shrimp. It was a very large portion of large shrimp in a nice sauce. For our meals we ordered grilled and broiled seafood. The scallops and flouder were large portions and fresh and delicious. The cole slaw and fries were good, too. Server was attentive.“
“The wife and I have been to Nineteen for brunch on several occasions. Every time has been a great experience. We have found all parts of the brunch menu incredibly yummy! Service has been responsive and wait times very minimal. Cost is very friendly to the wallet. Warmer weather brings opportunity to eat on the outdoor deck and views of the golf course. If your looking for a great dining experience for brunch, let the mimosas fly and do not hesitate to go to Nineteen.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking spaces are not extremely close to the front door, but a nice inclined sidewalk with no steps is great for accessibility.“
“Took my 97 year old father-in-law on Wednesday around 4. We both got the shrimp basket and it was more than either of us could finish. Very reasonable, the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Great view of the marsh and lots of birds to watch while you eat.“
“Moved here about 7 yrs ago. Dales won my respect from the first visit. Hope is an amazing bartender and person, hang on to someone l Iike that..they bring the candor needed in a business to create loyalty just by bringing a smiling face to work no matter what they have going on. Thank you to Dales and Hope for making me feel at home everytime I pop in there for a short visit.“
