Never had a bad visit to Mama Birds. Easily the best ice cream in holly springs.
I want to clarify upfront that this review is about the service, not the quality of the ice cream. We visited during the soft opening on Thursday, 6/5/2025 at New Hill, NC, and were impressed with the ice cream.
However, I’m giving this place a no recommend due to a deeply uncomfortable interaction with an employee. A young skinny blonde man with a sort of long nose, who was an employee handing out samples of in-house made waffle chips, completely ignored me (Korean)...read full review
Mama Bird’s Ice Cream has lots of flavor choices including several vegan/non-dairy ones. I tried the Vegan (non-dairy) mint chip in a small cup. There were also choices of sugar cones, homemade waffle cones, or waffle bowls, and ice cream sandwiches made with homemade brownies or cookies. The small was a nice sized two scoop portion. Loved it! The staff was very nice and answered my ingredient questions (allergy issues) and offered a sample to customers.
