“This was first time eating at Captains Fish House, but definitely will not be last. I had the Friday special, white fish and popcorn shrimp. Everything was so fresh and seasoned perfectly. “A cute little shop in a nice shopping center. I’ve never had a bad meal from this place. Everytime I come in, the sweet lady at the front greets me with a smile on her face and is very helpful if you have questions. Their portions are huge, I’m a guy that eats a lot and often has to order 2 things, but just 1 plate in this menu will fill you up. Really love the food and the staff.“

“The lady's always make you feel welcome and will fix you anything on the menu. It's all good. I haven’t had anything there I haven't liked. The cheeseburger lettuce, tomato and mayo is my favorite cooked medium with extra crispy fries and a good cold Pepsi makes it all so good. COME ON OVER AND GET YOU SOME BREAKFAST OR LUNCH. Ya want regret it.“

“Rachel and I ate at MJ's Saturday night and it was one of the Best meals that I have ever eaten in a restaurant. Michael Angelo is alive and well and working as a chef at MJ's. There is No Way that this restaurant is a 4.7, its got to be a solid 5. If you want the Best meal that you have ever eaten, try MJ's. You will be glad that you did !“

“We went for dinner last night and it was one of the best meals we have had in Greensboro in a long time. The autumn seasonal salad…perfect, the Deep fried Chicken Pot Pie was so delicious, steak cooked perfectly and the desert …peanut butter pie topped off a fantastic dinner. I have lunch there numerous times and was always delighted…Dinner was a wonderful surprise…our newest favorite restaurant, Freeman’s Grub & Pub“

“Fun bar! Had a DJ with a dance floor. Good bar service. Id like to go back its such a cool place with a good location in downtown. Best for groups of max 4-6 considering the seating arrangement have high tables for 4 people and maybe one big table that I remember. Beer had a large selection on tap. Great experience overall!“

“I’ve been enjoying Village Tavern for over 25 years—whether celebrating with friends and family or simply stopping in for a casual meal. It’s one of those rare places where I know I can always count on a consistently great meal and warm, attentive service.
There’s truly not a bad seat in the house. The indoor dining area is cozy and welcoming, and I especially love the outdoor patio when the weather’s nice. The large bar inside is perfect for socializing or networking, with a lively yet comfortable atmosphere. It’s a spot that’s friendly to both families and singles, and the staff always makes everyone feel at home.
Some of my favorites include the fish tacos, meatloaf, and carrot cake—each one consistently delicious and satisfying. The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and offers plenty of parking, which makes every visit easy and enjoyable.
Village Tavern has been part of so many memories over the years, and I’m grateful it continues to be a place I can return to with confidence and joy.“

“Have been going to Salvino’s for over 20 years. Ate there last week and had the best meal I have ever had. It was the special and was grouper on spinach with angel hair pasta and a lemon/white wine sauce. It was excellent. Would definitely recommend if they have it. Mary Speaker please give my compliments to the chef!!“
