This is the classic family owned small town ice cream and eatery. Nothing fancy but it is clean, the people are friendly and outstanding. If you are looking for a 4 course dining experience then this is not for you. If you are looking for an ice cream, friendly neighbors and reasonable prices then you will find nothing better in Kernersville

First the service was substandard. Could not even get a simple 2 person order right. I only got part of my to go order. The Philly Chicken was terrible, the tater tots were over cooked and fried way too dark and hard. The only thing that kept me from trashing my $28 dollar order was the milkshake. At $8 I would have been disappointed with that lunch. And Doss is a Kernersville landmark. The founders would be disappointed in what Doss has become.

Hard to believe that a foot long special is $11.50. I know times are different, but 30 years ago, they were $1.99. I just wonder how many hot dogs you can buy for $11.50. It was still really good but....

The food was horrible! The nastiest hot dog I have ever had in my life. The bun was stale, the hot dog was tasteless like it was boiled or something and that chili was just awful. Never will I ever order anything there again

Food was pretty good, I may have ordered the wrong thing. It wasn't bad, but didn't feel like the best value for the money. I paid about $45 for lunch for two of us with milkshakes. Staff was friendly and helpful. Environment was whimsical and clean. Food was delivered hot and quickly. I would go back and probably try the burger next time.
