“I enjoyed my tea a lot. This shop is incredibly cute and well decorated with the nicest china. We loved having our own tea cups and saucers. Service was pretty good especially for only the owner working. She is a very nice lady. My pumpkin coffee cake was too sweet for my taste but otherwise this is a great little spot“

“Stopped for the ice cream fell in love with the cookies. The ice cream is from a NC creamery and I recommend the Lemon Crunch 🍋 But the cookies are a blessing for your taste buds. I got the coconut cookie and my husband raved about the white chocolate macadamia. I wish we had tried this sooner... but it's 10 miles down the beach 😆“

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Debra and Icing on the Cakes in Kitty Hawk, NC! I had preordered a German chocolate cake for my dad’s 75th birthday, which we were planning to celebrate on the second day of our beach vacation. Unfortunately, when we arrived at our rental, it turned out to be uninhabitable. After hours of back-and-forth with the rental company, we made the difficult decision to drive 5 hours back to my dad’s home instead.
I reached out to Debra to let her know we wouldn’t be able to pick up the cake the next day since we were leaving the area. She told me she had just finished baking it and, with the kindest heart, offered to ice it right away so we could grab it on our way out of town. An hour later, we had a beautifully finished German chocolate cake in hand.
Not only was Debra incredibly accommodating and compassionate, but the cake itself was absolutely delicious—rich, moist, and hands down one of the best German chocolate cakes we’ve ever had. She truly went above and beyond, and thanks to her, we were still able to celebrate my dad’s milestone birthday in a special way. Highly recommend!“

“What can I say..well let's start here. The owner is a friend of mine I've know for a few years now. And to say he is a baker does not do him justice. He is well knowledged in what he is doing. And to step into his bakery is well...PROOF. He takes his business seriously to say the least. Professional is key word here. So if you are looking to find the finest homemade Delectables to take home and enjoy and share look no further. There are many fine upstanding bakeries here on the Outer Banks. Do not let this one slip through your fingers or tastebuds.“
