“I've lived in Wendell for almost 5 years now and somehow never visited A&P's until a few months ago......man, I feel like I wasted a good portion of my life, the one where you find a LOCAL, privately owned and run (as in not corporate) joint where local people gather (because THEY know what's good), everyone is genuinely friendly, prices are more than reasonable, the food is awesome and portions are more than generous (today I almost couldn't finish my double cheeseburger - believe me, not because I didn't want to) and you are treated like a welcome guest.My first time (I think) Peedie, whose father was Aubrey, asked my name once and he has remembered it ever since. I used to sell for a living and I would still sometimes forgot customer's names. Not Peedie.That day I told him I loved his place and to never change it. They just don't make 'em like this anymore and WE ARE SO LUCKY to have this one right here in Wendell.“

If I had been a party of two or more there would have been a minimum 10-minute wait. The place was busy!I had the fried chicken plate... It was half a chicken, wing, leg, breast and thigh. Fried to perfection. It came with mashed potatoes and green beans and a biscuit. All three were excellent.If you haven't been to Metro Diner you need to go. Especially if you're a fan of diners. “It has been about 2 years since I visited Danny's. But at the time it was one in Durham and unfortunately it closed. I wanted a great breakfast so my boyfriend and I drove 30 minutes to have breakfast. The service was great, our waiter was great, and the food was on point. It was clean inside and out and free of bad smells. I don't have any complaints. But please bring Danny's back to Durham or Morrisville. Thank you and yes you will see us again.“
“I love this place. The food is always great, the service is friendly and quick. I only wish that the owner would spend some time and money fixing things. Seeing the tile pulled away from the wall with water leaking from somewhere and producing the perfect environment for mold is concerning.“
“The food is delicious, the service and prices are excellent, the only detail that I didn't like is that they don't ventilate and the smell is very strong like when there is burnt oil. I hope they can solve it because it would be the number restaurant ❤️❤️“
