This is my favorite restaurant. The ambiance is just perfect, as are the ham biscuits. I think about this place almost every day.
My husband and I came here for our first date out without the kids so we were pretty excited to really enjoy a sit down meal we didn’t have to rush through. Ordered the fried chicken with gravy and potatoes and meatloaf plate. My chicken was nearly raw and luckily I noticed the blood in the plate against the mashed potatoes and I did cut into it thinking maybe I was wrong. I reordered a vegetable plate instead. Great historic building, excellent service, and exceptional food. We arrived 1/2 hour before closing and they treated us like royalty. I would highly recommend.
