“I will be the first person to say Captain D's usually doesn't impress me. Perhaps, I have judged them all unfairly against my experience at one. That being said, this one in Laurenburg, NC was amazing! We ordered our food and drinks, I went to wash my hands and when I got back to the table our food was ready. Less than 3-4 minutes from order to table. This has not been my experience previously at other locations. Our food was hot and delicious 😋 the staff was friendly and prompt. I'm glad we are moving to the area and I will get to come here more often! Thank you for changing my mind!“

“My experience was great. When I walked in the waitress and cook stopped arguing long enough to look over at my wife and I and told us to have a seat anywhere. The cook was blaring Pooh Sheisty over the speakers. It was a magical experience as always at Waffle House. Brrr brrr!“

“This is the old time, hole in the wall, greasy spoon with great food and service you can't find anymore. Good ole sloppy double cheeseburger with an 80yr old chili recipe. Everything is priced a la carte, sodas served in cans. Just a lunch counter. Super friendly staff makes you feel right at home. I mile off Exit 181 in Maxton off Hwy 74. Cash or debit cards accepted. Great prices

Parking: Parking spaces on both sides or street. Not a lot of merchants so parking shouldn't be a problem.“

“I pass by this business ALL the time, but never stopped! Well, this past Friday I finally stopped! I got the whiting fish plate with fries as a side and the boss lemonade! I did a call in order and when I walked in they were bagging it! Everything was fresh and hot! Prices are reasonable! A husband & wife team!! Definitely would try them again! Go try them for yourself!“

“This is not a sit down table service restaurant but exactly what the name says. A drive in. There is a drive thru on the side of the building or you can park and go in for take out service. There is a type of lunch counter inside on the other side from where the order window is or you can sit outside on the picnic tables weather permitting

First time it was open when I was passing thru. I generally drive at night when they're closed so I was excited to finally check this place out.

Regular lunch counter menu Didn't see any desserts offered. Stopped and got the chicken nuggets combo (easy to eat while driving) and not wear anything. Nuggets are typical nuggets you find anywhere but good flavor as well as the fries. Drinks are can in a frig beside the window.

I did see they were closed on Tuesdays. Close at 4pm other days. Small business definitely worth checking out“
