The house lager & hibiscus hole in one was superb & refreshing with the BLT & Street Corn Salad (added chicken). Everything was fresh and went perfectly with the afternoon temps. “I like the Bell Tree Tavern usually. A few days ago, had the Potato soup on Tuesday. It had a sour taste that me and an older lady at a close by table noticed and told our respective waitresses. It was rancid. I asked for them to talk to the kitchen…. Nada. I missed 8 hours of work……roughly $508.“

It feels like everything is responsibly homemade. The patio is like a garden, huge and surrounded by trees, not traffic. Inside, lots of 2 and 4-top tables that can be combined for larger groups. (No booths.) Easy and close parking. Plan to take something from the bakery section home, you won't be sorry you did.“

The steak special was 10oz and even had a langoustine cheese topping, chunks of lobster yum!!, mom had the barramundi fish special and the white Bordeaux blend were outstanding. “Typical Donald Ross design! Probably the most undulating greens on any course that I've played that he designed! They redesigned the course a few years ago and added more undulations that Ross would have had in the original design to make the course more difficult, due to some holes being fairly short in distance! They also went back to the original sand hills natural areas instead of rough grass! If you're a great putter , you'll love this course!“

“A great place to stay. The recently renovated rooms are comfortable, quiet, and well-appointed. The in-room Nespresso and welcome basket of local goods were great touches. Breakfast in the Carolina Dining Room and dinner downstairs at Villaggio are wonderful ways to start and end the day. My only complaint - Magnolia room keys don’t work at the resort fitness center, so you can’t access that amenity until they can get that fixed.“

“Found this gem on Yelp. Visited with my husband, my son, and his girlfriend. The food was so good and the flavor profiles excellent. My husband and I split a cup of the seafood chowder - fabulous. I had the Mexican shrimp tacos, my husband had the special quiche, my son had a taco that was supposed to come on a flour tortilla, but they gladly substituted corn, and his girlfriend had the salmon wraps. At the end we split a piece of peanut butter pie. The food was all delicious including the sides of homemade regular and sweet potato chips and the broccoli slaw. We will definitely go back. As we left the owner took our pictures with our motorcycles pulled up to the entry. Awesome“

“Stumbled across this spot for lunch & was so impressed. I had the steak frites and it was amazing, cooked perfectly with amazing garnishes & bone marrow. Fries were phenomenal and the sprouts were perfectly roasted. My fiance had the stuffed chicken and also cleaned his plate. We already can’t wait to go back! We scheduled a stop at Pinehurst for me to golf.....booking the Pinecrest Inn. I requested the Ben Crenshaw Suite and will never forget our stay there. I was able to play Courses #2 and #7 during our stay......it was wonderful at age 34 for me. My wife and our newborn were well taken care of by the entire staff and we were treated like family. That was many years ago, but I still have all the photos(from a camera back then) and highly recommend this historical establishment in every way.“
