“We came in for an early lunch so didn't need reservations. Nayelli was super helpful by providing various recommendations. The house lager & hibiscus hole in one was superb & refreshing with the BLT & Street Corn Salad (added chicken). Everything was fresh and went perfectly with the afternoon temps. Both dishes were generous portions. Come hungry. We had the veranda with the large windows, to ourselves. I bet reservations would be recommended for later in the afternoon. Perfect lunch spot!“

“Dropped into Beefeaters with two buddies during a recent golf trip, and it absolutely knocked it out of the park. From the moment we walked in, the experience was seamless, we were sat down immediately, which was a massive plus after a long day on the course.

The staff here is phenomenal. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant, kind, and incredibly attentive without being overbearing.

As for the food? Absolute perfection. I ordered the New York strip, and it was cooked exactly to order, juicy, and packed with flavor. Paired it with a crisp salad and their fries, which were the perfect side.

When the bill came, we were all genuinely impressed, the price was completely right for the high quality of the food and service we received.

If I'm ever back in the Southern Pines area, Beefeaters is a mandatory stop. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a killer meal and great hospitality!“

“Typical Donald Ross design! Probably the most undulating greens on any course that I've played that he designed! They redesigned the course a few years ago and added more undulations that Ross would have had in the original design to make the course more difficult, due to some holes being fairly short in distance! They also went back to the original sand hills natural areas instead of rough grass! If you're a great putter , you'll love this course!“

“This is a really nice place to meet friends for lunch. Soup and a sandwich, please! Never had a bad plate, the cook really cares about your meal. The croissants melt in your mouth. It feels like everything is responsibly homemade. The patio is like a garden, huge and surrounded by trees, not traffic. Inside, lots of 2 and 4-top tables that can be combined for larger groups. (No booths.) Easy and close parking. Plan to take something from the bakery section home, you won't be sorry you did.“

“Four of my lady friends had dinner at Dugan’s Saturday afternoon & we were very pleased. Two of the ladies had the grilled cheese sandwich, one lady had the fish fry & I had the salad with cranberries, pecans & feta cheese with a grilled chicken breast. “A great place to stay. The recently renovated rooms are comfortable, quiet, and well-appointed. The in-room Nespresso and welcome basket of local goods were great touches. Breakfast in the Carolina Dining Room and dinner downstairs at Villaggio are wonderful ways to start and end the day. My only complaint - Magnolia room keys don’t work at the resort fitness center, so you can’t access that amenity until they can get that fixed.“

“Found this gem on Yelp. Visited with my husband, my son, and his girlfriend. The food was so good and the flavor profiles excellent. My husband and I split a cup of the seafood chowder - fabulous. I had the Mexican shrimp tacos, my husband had the special quiche, my son had a taco that was supposed to come on a flour tortilla, but they gladly substituted corn, and his girlfriend had the salmon wraps. At the end we split a piece of peanut butter pie. The food was all delicious including the sides of homemade regular and sweet potato chips and the broccoli slaw. We will definitely go back. As we left the owner took our pictures with our motorcycles pulled up to the entry. Awesome“

“Stumbled across this spot for lunch & was so impressed. I had the steak frites and it was amazing, cooked perfectly with amazing garnishes & bone marrow. Fries were phenomenal and the sprouts were perfectly roasted. My fiance had the stuffed chicken and also cleaned his plate. We already can’t wait to go back! “In 1989 my son Matthew was born in January. So that summer my wife & I drove from Texas to North Carolina with our 6 mo. newborn to show him off to my wife's parents in Myrtle Beach. We scheduled a stop at Pinehurst for me to golf.....booking the Pinecrest Inn. I requested the Ben Crenshaw Suite and will never forget our stay there. I was able to play Courses #2 and #7 during our stay......it was wonderful at age 34 for me. My wife and our newborn were well taken care of by the entire staff and we were treated like family. That was many years ago, but I still have all the photos(from a camera back then) and highly recommend this historical establishment in every way.“
