“Not sure what the previous bad reviews were about. I was working for the day in Aberdeen and decided to try it out. Lots of happy customers eating and laughing. Note that most of the customers probably don't have Yelp to make reviews. Different generation. Staff were amazingly friendly. Food was awesome. Great taste. Anything you can imagine for breakfast, can be ordered. Plenty of butter and jelly on the table. Loved it.“

“My first visit to a Texas Roadhouse in over a decade. Our server, Maddy, was friendly and extremely attentive making many stops to check on us. One of the managers also checked on us, very professional and took the time to listen. The food was very good, it was overall an excellent experience and I will be returning.“

“The Embers is a great place to find lunch in Southern Pines. The atmosphere is unpretentious and casual. The bathroom for everyone is located to the left of the order counter, which is a little awkward, but they are maximizing the use of their space. The hostess was friendly and patient in taking our orders. The prices are reasonable for the generous portions.I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. My companion ordered the brisket sandwich and regular fries.The chicken was pleasantly enhanced with a slightly sweet barbecue sauce and Cole slaw. The sweet potato fries were freshly prepared, but they lacked the savory seasoning that I expected. My companion liked the flavor of the brisket, but she found it to be too populated with bits of fat. Some may prefer the extra flavor provided with the juicy bits, but texture is also important. The fries were crisp and savory. We liked the food well enough to return soon, but brisket will not be one of our choices.“

“This is the second time we have been since the new owners took over. The staff is very friendly. The lady working in the lobby was quick to clean the tables after people left since it was a bit busy on a Sunday. We didn't have to wait long to order. Only a few people in line ahead of us. The food was good as usual and always way more than I can eat. My kids most eat the chicken nuggets or chicken breast cut up. I tried their new baked potato today and I have to admit I have never seen a potato that big before. It was glorious if you love a good baked potato. Southern Pines NC location“

“We are local to Southern Pines, and this is the best most quality, made to order steak you will find in the area. The other local steakhouses are poor quality, inconsistent, and overpriced. Longhorn has made our steaks perfect 20+ times. Skip roadhouse and outback and go here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!“
