Excellent service. They were very quick and always kept our drinks topped off. The bbq plate was great. The okra was delicious and the banana pudding was outstanding.

It all started when we got “sweet tea” that was not sweet at all. Then the BBQ “dip” arrived in a styrofoam cup and had the same taste and consistency of Walmart brand tomato soup mixed with water and vinegar. The entree then arrived with that same tomato soup dip poured on top of the BBQ. Then the sides….mac n cheese, baked beans and potato salad… All from a can… not even seasoning added. The fried okra was edible, as were the French fries and sweet potato fries. Finally! The red slaw was half decent. We were able to cleanse our pallet with the “homemade” banana pudding which was the best part of the meal.

Stopped here after looking for good barbecue while in the area. Ordered the quarter chicken with mac n cheese and fries. Hushpuppies and fries were fried pretty well. Chicken was pretty juicy but almost all the other sides were canned/frozen. Macaroni was soupy and you could tell it was imitation stouffers, green beans and baked beans were all canned. Super disappointing. Ice cream was decent. Just feel like the quality wasn’t what I was expecting. Not horrible but not a place I’d come back to. Liked the old timey feel though.

Our family has enjoyed the Lexington style BBQ sandwiches and giant banana split sundaes for over 20yrs. Food is consistently delicious and service fast and friendly plus the happy pink pig figurines are an unexpected pleasure for young and old alike. The smaller slider sandwiches are perfect and a new favorite of my grand daughter. Prices reasonable and proportions generous, the BBQ Center is a Lexington NC staple not to be missed.

Great barbecue and sauce ! Love the red slaw. Everything that southern barbecue is known for. My kids love the huge banana splits too!
