Just ate Don's BBQ at the autumn leaves festival in Mt. Airy. We got two pork bbq sandwiches , a fry and two sweet teas. The people working there were very nice (older couple). The sandwiches could have used more bbq - barely enough on sandwich. Fries were okay - crinkle cut but not a lot given. Sweet teat was fine. Also it was $5.00 for the tiny fry. Total cost was $25.00.
Woman's attitude was super rude but the sandwhiches were pretty good.
I had never heard of Don's barbecue until I saw it at the thrashers reunion in Denton, so we tried it. The kids got hotdogs and fries and I got the barbecue sandwich and fries. They shorted us a frie and the hotdogs were so tuff the kids wouldn't eat them and the barbecue was like mush and what I would expect from a service station.
