“The best Eastern North Carolina style BBQ around here hands down. The vinegar based sauce has a nice tang and bite to it and it had just enough heat to let you know it's there without being unpleasant. The portion was great and the service was awesome. 10 of 10. Will be back!“

“I've known the owners all my life and have enjoyed Village Inn all my life. The food is always good I make it a point when I am home to swing by and get something to eat. I tell all my friends that drive 95 south they must go by there only open Thursday thru Saturday its all been that way. I love this place.“

“What a treat. Total time travel. Paper plates. Make sure to focus your gaze and on all the kitsch - very sentimental, loving and country creative. Drove 2 hours to visit. No nonsense. It’s kinda like a Sunday dinner from 50 years ago. Very grateful for this experience. I almost forgot - haven’t had a more affordable meal in years. Unreal. Go show and feel some love @ Roy’s.“
