“The best Eastern North Carolina style BBQ around here hands down. The vinegar based sauce has a nice tang and bite to it and it had just enough heat to let you know it's there without being unpleasant. The portion was great and the service was awesome. 10 of 10. Will be back!“

“I've known the owners all my life and have enjoyed Village Inn all my life. The food is always good I make it a point when I am home to swing by and get something to eat. I tell all my friends that drive 95 south they must go by there only open Thursday thru Saturday its all been that way. I love this place.“

“This restaurant is a true hidden gem. Not only is the service amazing and genuinely unique, but the food oh my God the food is outstanding. We had a BBQ plate and a chicken dish, and both were absolutely incredible. The meat was flavorful and perfectly cooked, the fries were done just right, and you could really taste how fresh everything was.
The cherry on top was the pound cake, so fresh and fluffy it practically melted in your mouth. We honestly expected to pay an arm and a leg for food this good, but it was surprisingly affordable. If you ever have the time or find yourself nearby, go. I promise you won’t regret it for a second.“
