Carver’s is excellent - good old timey home cooking - passed down thru 3 generations. They start with good quality ingredients that are prepared from scratch with love and care - so rare this day and age - everything on menus is delicious and the service is exceptional & friendly.
I support family owned restaurants. Food and service was nice, support local or these mom and pop places will disappear.
Great food... country dining with a quiet, friendly atmosphere.

Carver's Maggie Valley Restaurant, established in 1952, has a long-standing reputation for serving homemade and delicious food in a friendly atmosphere. The restaurant offers outdoor seating and a covered porch, making it a nice place to dine even on rainy days, with beautiful countryside views nearby. Visitors enjoy a variety of meals, including the popular catfish, fried chicken, and fried pork chops, which are praised for their tasty and crunchy qualities. The restaurant also features a dog menu, allowing travelers with pets to enjoy dog entrees like shredded chicken with a dog biscuit, which pets love. Breakfast options are highly recommended, with fresh, homemade dishes and southern hospitality from the staff. Meals like omelettes and apple sauce side dishes receive positive remarks, though some reviews mention minor issues with attention to detail, such as incorrect orders or strange decor like Christmas decorations still up in January, and odd items like a defunct printer in sight. Some guests note inconsistent experiences with service and cleanliness, feeling that the atmosphere and overall maintenance could be improved. Despite these concerns, many visitors find the food to be tasty and satisfying, with a nostalgic southern feel. The restaurant's long history and consistent focus on homemade meals make it a worthwhile stop, especially for those seeking hearty, home-cooked style dishes and a friendly, relaxed environment.
