Hursey's Bar-B-Q Reviews
Great food and service. Try the fish, outstanding. Chicken is our grandson’s favorite!
Always happy with the food and service never disappoints
We had a church function tonight for 70 people, and the contracted catering company dropped the ball on the date. With all 70 waiting the Hursey's in Mebane saved the day and had food ready for all 70 in 30 minutes! Incredible service and the food was delicious as always, thank you Hursey's!

Hursey's Bar-B-Q is a BBQ establishment known for its North Carolina BBQ with a vinegar-based sauce. There is a card fee for debit or credit card payments, so it's better to use cash. The restaurant features friendly staff, a clean lobby, and a great kids menu that offers more than just chicken tenders. The hush puppies are excellent, and the menu includes shrimp, flounder, BBQ, ribs, and combo plates. The chopped BBQ is noted as the best by some customers, often enjoyed without sauce, although the house-made sauce is also praised. The atmosphere is fast-food-like, with service provided by sweet young ladies. The pulled pork is decent, and the BBQ sauce is sweet. The broasted chicken is lightly breaded, and while it may be a tad dry, it still receives positive remarks. Customers also appreciate the homemade apple turnover, described as gooey and warm. Overall, Hursey's Bar-B-Q is a solid choice for dining in or take-out, offering a variety of tasty dishes, though it may not be extraordinary.
