With Monroe's growing Hispanic population (28.8%) comes the pressure to supply more places serving authentic food like Mom made at home. Enter San Juan Foods. Opened in October 2023 this is more than a "rice and beans/chicken or beef" operation. And I love it. Checked San Juan out because it was reported as more authentic. Definitely was you could tell by the menu, regular items but much more plus a bakery on site. Kind of reminded me of a Mexican Diner. Food was great, service was excellent. Much hospitality. Will be back.

We decided to stop by and see the Mariachi band. It was fun and they sounded great! The food was overall good, but small details could be improved for a 5 star. The waitress was very friendly and was bilingual so there was no worries for me as I only speak English. The atmosphere was very cheerful and inviting. The decor was very authentic and beautiful as it looked like the chairs and tables were hand painted. We will definitely be back!
