It was those people from Raleigh that wanted to continue to b**** about everything, and thanks to my second martini, I didn't give them a little bit of local redneck, and tell them to go back to Raleigh Like I wanted to, but Yep, Yep, it was an amazing meal. “I know several people have had a few bad experiences over the past year or so. Including our family. We had family just visit last week 5-8th and we had a large variety of items. I must say every was cooked perfectly. Made for a great experience for family that was visiting. Thanks to all. Update May 2023. Using frozen shrimp or at least pre-cooked. Smaller portions. The hush puppies are the only thing to go for. Waitress was wonderful.“

“I would never visit Beaufort and not stop by this place. Don’t let the size or location fool you this is a #1 stop for the best musicians around. Always a good time and the local folks make it fun with their welcoming and friendly smiles and handshakes. I played an Open Mic there last year and hope to play there one day. Do yourself a favor and follow them here on Facebook and stop down for a great time. See YOU at the Backstreet Pub! Cheers!“

“Great beach bar with affordable drinks and excellent service! Be sure to bring your ID—and even your pup can hang out with you until 9 PM. The only drawback is that there didn’t seem to be any air conditioning, so I can imagine it gets pretty warm in the summer. Still, the atmosphere was awesome, and I’ll definitely be back!“

“This is our second experience and it's lived up to everything we had hoped for. The food was delicious. Our server was charming and helpful and checked in on us through throughout the meal. We love the atmosphere of the views of carrot Island and the rachel Carson preserve are stunning especially at sunset.“

“If you want the best pizza in Beaufort look no further. We stopped by and had a choice of seating in either the hip store to the left or more traditional place to the right. Same great food. We chose the left and had spectacular service from Sean. A great local resource he went out of his way with service you only find in expensive venues. The pizza is true brick oven and the ingredients were fresh. They have a sofa sitting area near the fireplace that caps your evening. We had bourbons. Perfect evening.“

“I’m not good with remembering names, so apologies in advance. I stopped here after doing a full day offshore fishing that I woke up at 4:30AM. After being seasick and having no appetite until I got off the ship, I went to the Promise Land Market. The tall gentleman did a great job helping me with my order and providing me with my sweet tea as I waited for my order. He said I was welcome to drink it as I waited and he would refill it, which was GREATLY appreciated.
He had a coworker that was working there watching the front while he went to the back. She told me she was from NY. After some chit chat with her, as soon as I finished my drink, she immediately refilled it, no questions asked. And eventually on the third refill, she got me a larger container so that I could quench my thirst better. Overall great service from the staff from my experience. And they were very authentic with their interaction with me so I feel that they are genuinely nice people.
You can find good food everywhere these days, not so much with service and genuinely nice people. This interaction was the cherry on top of my overall experience in Morehead City.
