A hidden gem. We had the Rhode Island Calamari, Angels on Horseback and Shrimp & Grits. All amazing. We didn't have room for dessert. Fantastic selection of wines, view, and top notch service.
I believe saltwater grill's ambiance on the patio could be so much more. The lights, if they're on at night, are probably nice, but the the table and chairs are like sitting out at a local picnic. more flowers would help. My husband's pasta came out cold. I thought a slice of bread would accompany the pasta meal, but no. My shrimp scampi was good as we're the Texas spring rolls. didn't have the wine offered on the menu I wanted. What a lovely restaurant, view, food, and team!! My sisters and I were spending the day in New Bern to commemorate Mother’s Day. We needed a restaurant that could accommodate special dietary needs. Tracy, David, and Kirsten at Saltwater Grill in River Bend went above and beyond to make sure our experience was delightful, appropriate, and safe. Saltwater Grill is a wonderful place, and the team is fabulous - will definitely return!
