Chinese Restaurants near Oak Ridge

“Just moved here from NY and tried many Chinese restaurants in the area. This is by far the best and closest to “NY Chinese food”. I never wait here. Today (Friday) during prime time I waited which is understandable. I always order in advance so that I do not have wait. Always had a pleasant experience. Food is always great and exactly how I ordered. For people complaining about the door.. maybe talk to them first before assuming it’s because of “covid” because it has nothing to do with to.“

“The food was hot and fresh. The portions were fine.The Sichuan Chicken and Spring Roll(2pcs) Spring Roll(2pcs) were my favorites. I wasn't a fan of the Chongqing Noodles becuase the broth had too much oil for me. However, the flavor was there. I wanted to try something new and I did. It just wasnt for me but I believe other people will like it if they like oil based noodle broth.“

“This restaurant used to be our favorite. Since the new owners came, everything has gone down hill. The egg rolls are smaller and filled with more rice than anything else. The fried rice is just tan rice with nothing else added. Any dish that is served with vegetables, now expect the veggies to be served raw - uncooked with a sauce over them. The thinly sliced chicken has a lot of fat and gristle. Even the hot tea (overpriced) has a different taste. The last 2 times I ordered the Egg Fu Yung - I was really sick afterwards. If I ever go back I will just order noodle soup with no vegetables or chicken. The waitresses are very nice but I worry about what goes on in the kitchen. Their sanitary rating is low so the kitchen can't be too clean. There are other Chinese restaurants in the area that we will be trying.“

“This review is long overdue, moved to n.c 2 years ago and we looooove chinese food as our go to take out meal. Was hard at first to find a chinese restaurant in the area we felt matched the style and flavor we have liked for years. But then we took a chance at bamboo house skeptical at first that a small dated shopping center area would have good restaurants but Wooooooow ! 9/10!!! We loveeee the food!! We have eaten what feels like dozens and dozens of different chinese restaurants and buffets throughout the United states and the number 1 on our list is a similar chinese take out in new jersey that blew us away!!! But bamboo is a solid number 2 or 3 on our list. As long as we live in greensboro this will be our regular spot! Thank you for the delicious food and excellent service!“

“Don’t let the look fool you. I’ve eaten here a few times now and haven’t gotten sick or anything. Prices are reasonable. Food portions are generous. We usually get 2-3 meals out of our orders. We love to get the general tsos tofu and the orange chicken. Food is a definite solid 8.5/10.“

“Great food. Always is. Only issue is the service at times. Some days it's great others it's horrible. They let their young children run the front and take orders over the phone and they don't always get it right. Just make sure you double check your order just in case“

“I ordered through DoorDash, the food was still hot upon arrival. I ordered chicken wings with shrimp lo mein, the lo mein was very good and flavorful. I rate it 4 stars because the chicken was a little salty other than that everything was good I would definitely order again. My new Chinese restaurant before I was driving 15-20 minutes to the north side of town to get food.“

“Sue and her family are amazing! We've eaten here for years and are always happy with our order. They're sweet humans who genuinely care. I've tried over restaurants and have never found one as great as here! If you want authentic Chinese food from a lovely, small business, we highly recommend them.“

“The staff greeted me with a smile and was very polite. I asked for my wings to be fried crispy! When I got my food, not only was it fried extra crispy, the food was still hot as if they just came out the fryer. I am very pleased with their service.“

“FANTASTIC We’ve been to many Asian and sushi restaurants, this is one of the absolute best meals we’ve had. The dumplings were phenomenal! The wrappers were thin, perfectly crisped and full of flavor. The pad Thai, drunken noodles and sushi were top notch. The hibachi chicken was absolutely the best we’ve ever had. Thank you, we will certainly try our best to come back for another visit!!“

“We’ve tried several Chinese food places in the area and have decided this is our favorite. Some places have one item that we’d say is good. Asian Wok is good for anything we order. They do have a few small tables, but I recommend for take out.“

“I’ve been going to Golden China for years now, it’s always been my favorite Chinese in Greensboro. The people there are always nice and get my food to me quickly. You might have noticed I gave it only 3 stars for atmosphere, this is because it does not present as a place that I would want to eat at or get food from. This however should not dissuade you from going, as this is the best Chinese food I’ve had for a decent price! One last thing, if you go get the steamed dumplings. They are heavenly!“

The best I’ve ever had and my girlfriend got the egg drop soup which was just as good too. Yummy food and great customer service. “My go to pho spot whenever I'm in town visiting my girlfriend! It gets packed right around lunch to evening time. Pho broth is good, they give a good amount of meat, the only criticism I have is the amount of pho noodles. Personally it's too small for me, a couple bites then it's just meat and broth. Definitely still recommend and their other food is just as good.“
