Reasonable price, family friendly, and a cozy atmosphere with small booths, children's chairs, and a pew. Exceptionally good ice cream! I had the banana pudding and it tasted just like freshly homemade banana pudding, not that artificial stuff. Cash only, but they do have an ATM in the store.
My family actually visited this ice cream shop during the summer of 2022. It was fantastic! The service was excellent and patient with my crazy group of 10 that stopped in and the ice cream top notch. The best banana split I've had in years. It was so good we came back the next night and got the same thing. As we prepare for another trip to OIB in a few weeks, the whole family said we MUST make another visit or two to The Ice Cream Shoppe. Consider us regulars. Thanks.

Update: this review was originally written a couple years ago and since writing, many things have changed. They now do offer allergy free ice cream and no longer have the deer park water. The owner also reached out personally to me and said that she works every day to ensure they don't have the bad customer service. Based on her personal reply, I have no reason to doubt this.
