Usually stop for the hand dipped ice cream. Good selection of fresh varieties. Decided to try lunch and had a classic small town cheeseburger with mozzarella sticks to accompany a chocolate malt. Service was great and everyone friendly. Small town prices, too!
Came up to Swananoa back in Dec to deliver toys for victims of Hurricane Helene to have a Christmas. During our day there we visited Old Fort killing time and looking for lunch. Saw this place and decided to give it a try. One of the people in our group struck up conversation with our waitress. Turns out she had lived in a city about 45 minutes from where we traveled from in eastern NC and I believe lived in the area for a time of the person in our group the conversation was struck...
A great little mom and pop place to enjoy a meal. The food was well prepared, and the service was spot on. It is definitely a nice addition to main street Old Fort. Be sure to stop by and enjoy some southern comfort food.
