“Hands-down the best hotdogs in the county. I have not tried their burgers or BBQ sandwiches yet, but if I want a dog, this is where I'm going. They use Bright Leaf dogs and have wonderful chili and slaw. They put plenty of toppings on the dogs too. I've never received a skimpy dog from this place. The prices are great as well. You can get 2 dogs and a drink for $6, which is great! They are a cash only place, so bear that in mind. They have an ATM on site, but if you want to avoid fees, bring cash. Overall, I rate them as one of my favorite lunch spots in Goldsboro.“
“New favorite ice cream shop! Wonderful service, delicious rich ice cream, selection of yummy hot food (zucchini fry’s were awesome) refreshing homemade lemonade with flavors such a strawberry, blackberry and pineapple! The decor had me feeling nostalgic with old school rap and R&B memorabilia. There’s a colorful wall mural with a phrase reminiscent of the chorus hook line to Jay-Z’s “99 problems” that says “99 problems but ice cream ain’t one” You got that right! They have an old school speaker/boombox decor themed counter area. They are truly a notch above the rest!“
“It’s hard for me to explain I’ve been eating those hotdogs since I was 15 years old maybe a little younger. From the previous owners and the taste still is the same. Straight delicious the hotdogs and the hamburgers and french fries. And also lemonade yum Yum. We now travel from Florida to Goldsboro just to get those hotdogs and hamburgers and fries and of course the lemonade while visiting relatives ,keep up the good work.,“
“I stopped in for a grilled chicken sandwich. I opted for the regular chicken tray, original style, that comes with two sides and a drink. I did request adding grilled onions, onions and pickles that were free add-ons. The chicken breast was moist and covered the bun. The sandwich, perfectly seasoned, was delicious! My sides were cheese bites and onion rings. There weren't many, approx. 5 of each. They were hot and crispy. The cheese bites were hot with a nice cheesy pull when bitten. I ate them on the drive so I can't tell you if they would still be good after cooling. The tea was definitely a southern sweet tea, sweetly good. The restaurant's rating was 97. The dining area was clean and sparsely decorated. The ladies' restroom was also clean. The water was not hot but as I was washing my hands the temperature was increasing. Unfortunately, only one stall was available on this visit. The cashier who may have been new, he asked a co-worker a question to make sure he had taken my order correctly, was friendly. He also responded patiently to the request of condiments and supplies from customers in line ahead of me. Hopefully future visits will be as pleasant as this one was.The cost of this meal was $8.21 w/ tax.“
“The Best Dawg In Town is the slogan for Pikeville Dawg House. Its a really small town. As such, the slogan shoots way below the actual quality of the hot dog. It could be one of the best hot dogs in the state based on my experience. The hot dog chili was very good. Very inexpensive. Outdoor picnic tables were convenient.“
