“I come here all time for breakfast after a long shift (I’m an RN) they’re fast, friendly, and only once got my sandwich meat choice wrong. I think people giving bad reviews should go to some other McDonald’s in not so favorable areas to compare before being so harsh.“

“It's fantastic. Everything we've tried has been delicious, the staff's super busy but helpful, and you can buy your lotto tickets next door. Wedgies and the Pik 'n' Pig are the two "must experience" places we bring our out of town visitors.“

But the thing I like best is the home made Brunswick stew ??. If you're making the trip to get some, call ahead first because it runs out often. “Luckily, tonight my tennis team found Charbar No.7.I ordered a salmon salad with citrus dressing and a full pour of Pinot noir. I requested the salmon to be sushi grade raw. It was delicious and "melted" in my mouth. I then ordered some toast to help absorb the Pinot noir. The toast was also delicious. “The Embers is a great place to find lunch in Southern Pines. The atmosphere is unpretentious and casual. The bathroom for everyone is located to the left of the order counter, which is a little awkward, but they are maximizing the use of their space. The hostess was friendly and patient in taking our orders. The prices are reasonable for the generous portions.I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. My companion ordered the brisket sandwich and regular fries.The chicken was pleasantly enhanced with a slightly sweet barbecue sauce and Cole slaw. The sweet potato fries were freshly prepared, but they lacked the savory seasoning that I expected. My companion liked the flavor of the brisket, but she found it to be too populated with bits of fat. Some may prefer the extra flavor provided with the juicy bits, but texture is also important. The fries were crisp and savory. We liked the food well enough to return soon, but brisket will not be one of our choices.“

“This place is a nice place for lunch. They have a large variety of classic salads and sandwiches and is a good place for a quick business meeting because it's homely and not too loud. The service is also decently fast, usually you get your food within 10-15 minutes. I especially like their coaches choice for soup, the variety is always great.“

“Fast, unique, flavored foods. The hibachi has a taste that they only provide. My go-to for over 20 years... I guess right since they opened. I swear by their simple the hot ham and cheese sandwich and steak and chicken hibachi bowl. You have to dip the sandwich in the homemade white sauce for every bite. It's family made, owned, and run... what can be more satisfying than fresh, heartwarming soulfood?“

“THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! IT WAS FRESH, COOKED WHEN ORDERED & TASTY! My husband & I were in the area 2 weeks in a row so we ate @ Five Guys both times just to see if the amazing fresh food was a fluke. NOPE, not a fluke! The staff wasn't all the same either & the food was still top-notch! The size of the burger, the toppings, just the right amount of condiments! The amount of fries you get in a regular is WOW! A small fry is enough to share between 2 ppl. Some say it's pricey for a "burger joint" but I have to say both times it was worth every penny! $25-$30 for 2 to eat a delicious, fresh, (NOT off the heat chute) satisfying lunch/dinner isn't far from the prices most places charge nowadays. ENJOY!Parking: Parking is mostly "front row". There is also plenty of parking available behind the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere is kid-friendly. There are high chairs available.Wheelchair accessibility: Tables are allowing those in wheelchairs to sit comfortably.“
