“My first trip to Alley 51 Food Court and choosing Saigon Cafe was a win! I wanted something different from the usual Pho, and chose the Spicy Beef and Pork Noodle Soup. It is not very spicy at all, but the flavor is excellent, exactly what I wanted. It comes with chili oil on the side and a baggie of pho toppings: bamboo shoots, herbs, and lime. It comes with a variety of pork and beef meats, some of which may not be appetizing to all customers. I wasn't in the mood for a lot of meat, and they were more than happy to omit the ones I didn't want. The brisket was tasty and not fatty. There were a lot of noodles, more than I needed. Next time I'll ask them to include less if possible. The price was perfectly reasonable for such a quality soup. I also had the shrimp summer rolls and they were delicious, along with the sauce. Seating was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Plenty of parking when I was there for lunch on a weekday. Will be back!“

“I visited the restaurant in March of this past year and found I had neglected to write a review. Prior to visiting the restaurant I had never had Vietnamese cuisine but was thrilled to see what I was in for. Upon entering the restaurant I was greeted by the courteous greater and taken to a table. My server was this delightful younger gentleman who helped guide me to select a menu item he believed I would enjoy. I tried the banh mi (sandwich) which was an excellent blend of fresh vegetables such as cucumber and carrots, with pork. After this visit I plan to go back the next time I am in Charlotte and I suggest you do the same. ☺️“

“This place should be more obvious because it was AMAZING. I usually go to the tea house across the street for banh mi but they are closed on Wednesday but I really had a hunger for one. This restaurant is literally right across the street. Don't let the appearance deter you, the most unassuming things and places can surprise you. i had the grilled pork and it was by far the best banh mi I have EVER had. If you are spending less than $10 (which is really easy to do) then bring cash for the courtesy of the owners so they aren't hit with stupid over charges. Otherwise cards are fine. Will definitely be coming back.“

“We’ve celebrated New Year’s Eve at Saigon Palace for several years. The staff is always accommodating ( we added 4 extra people at the last minute), they were so friendly bringing up an extra table & chairs. The food was delicious and we’ll probably be at SP again to celebrate birthdays and New Year’s Eve. Thanks so much to all the wonderful people from servers and kitchen staff.“

“If you haven’t been to this tucked away gem, you are missing out! My Garlic Bulgogi Bánh Mi and Passionfruit Pleasure drink were the best I’ve had and I’m picky when it comes to my food. I’m so glad I found this family owned restaurant to try today while I was out and about. 1368 Sweet Corner Cafe is a must try, the variety of food choices is unmatched compared to other similar restaurants in Charlotte so put this one on the list as a must try, especially if you are a Bánh Mi fan like I am!“

“This is the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had. I got the vegan tofu dish and it was absolutely amazing. Everyone in the restaurant is so kind. Me and my husband are visiting from Atlanta and one of the servers took the time to tell us about the city! “The service can get a bit slow due to traffic picking up around 7pm, the portions are a bit small for the pricing in my opinion, I have been to this restaurant at another location before and their BOGO Free just kind of seems like a scam... For 8 pieces the sushi is over $12 and at that point it is like one roll just pays for both rolls on its own without the sale, so it is just hidden behind a sale.... Some sushi is $20 and it is still not a lot of pieces or has a crazy amount of ingredients.

I make sushi myself, so this is quite disappointing how they charge so much per roll and try to slap a sale sticker on top. Not to mention how all of the pages on the menus say "NO EXCHANGE, RETURNS, OR REFUNDS" some even saying "NO SUBSCRIPTIONS". As a person that only eats chicken and fish ... It is not an accommodating place and I think that they are aware of how the policies and pricing is scam-like.

I had the Pad Thai to avoid the sushi, but.... It was less than standard in taste and quality.... My parner had the red curry udon. Everything tasted....fine, but the bamboo shoot, would taste much better in actual soups than the curry udon. Maybe it was the other ingredients... But the food just was lacking and tastes plain and bland, nothing to say "Oh, this is good!" Hopefully they eventually add more to their menu to make it something worth talking about.“
