Gizmo Brew Works - Brewery & Taproom

Umm.. what exactly is going on here? I dumped that out.

We were here on Friday evening with my husband. We took a flight to try different types of beer. In the end we liked only one type. The prices are good, not expensive. The staff was reserved and not emotional. We sat outside because the weather was nice, there was live music, a girl sang on the guitar, families and couples also enjoyed the evening. there was a food truck on the territory, but we did not buy food. This brewery is located in an industrial area, at first it confused me a little but I recommend!

Pretty good beer spot, usually have something pretty good on tap.

Gizmo is awesome!

I visited today for a Pilates & Yoga event that my gym Sk1ll has here weekly. Gizmo is located not far off Glenwood/70 in the Umstead industrial area. Easy parking, dog friendly and a nice relaxing environment. Ben was very helpful and a nice guy. I sampled a THC Beer called Delta Quench. I enjoy edibles on rare occasions, so this was something new for me to try for relaxation purposes. Very refreshing ! I also had the Ginger Beekeeper. Very light and deliciously refreshing after an intense Pilates/Yoga class. I plan to return and bring my dog to enjoy the patio and other new brews.

Gizmo Brew Works has killer beer, an awesome crew, and just the right amount of chaos to keep things interesting. We keep coming back…either because we love it or because we left something behind.

I've found several of their beers to be undrinkably bitter. Now, I know taste is subjective, but if you don't like bitter beers, I'd pass this place.

Always a great experience with Gizmo! They always have things going on and great beer! The parking situation is always iffy, but really depends on the day!

Gizmo has the best beer by far. On
Monday's pints are $4.00, Wednesday thru Sunday they have food trucks.
I highly recommend Gizmo Raleigh!

Terrible service, dirty tables and smells like rotting fish outside. The girl that worked there last night stated that she could refuse service if we didn’t tip enough even after tipping 20%. She yelled out that she only makes $2.30 per hour! It would be great to hear the owner’s opinion of this! Seems like the employee is more worried about her tip than the company itself!
Never been to a brewery that DEMANDS a large tip for handing over beer, over the counter. Good luck to you! Wont be coming back!
Response to comment below: Please check with your bartender, she approached us at our table outside with the bartender. If she doesn’t work there, I believe you may have bigger problems! Lol and now looks like someone got their friends to lie about the situation and add new reviews within hours of mine to cover up their attitude and save their jobs! Why on earth would we drink outside beer in a brewery, it was Gizmo’s beekeeper beer that we drank! Anyway, good luck to yall and most importantly, the owner!

Gizmo is an awesome brewery! It’s a great place to hang out and have a few drinks, their beer is 10/10 as well.
