Longleaf Swine offers a lovely BBQ experience at a great price, with efficient service and a nice flow of indoor and outdoor seating. The menu features delicious options like the Collard Green melt and pot pie, with mixed reviews on the sides but overall positive feedback on the meat's flavor and texture.
Longleaf Swine is a place where the food sticks to ribs and stands out in your memories. The BBQ is impeccable, with a clear mastery of rendering fat and maximizing it in every dish. The smoked wings, tallow crackers, and pimento cheese everything are not to be missed. Each table has a dedicated 3-4 sauce tray, with very curated taste differences for each. The banana pudding, a North Carolina table staple, is absolutely incredible - fluffy and light, like a southern cloud on a hot summer evening.
The service at Longleaf Swine is exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who ensure that every customer feels like a member of the community. The pimento cheese hush puppies and mac and cheese are worth the visit alone, and the Steak Frites, a lightly smoked prime rib, is perhaps the best in the city.
