The interior features Ethiopian art and cultural pieces, creating a cozy atmosphere. While the location is somewhat far from the city center, it offers a calm and quiet dining environment with ample parking space.

Many customers appreciate the wide selection of dishes, including sambusas, vegetarian combo, Family platter with Awaze Tibs (beef), Doro Wat (chicken), and kitfo. The misir is especially recommended and often praised for being flavorful and well-seasoned. Visitors find the food tasty, with some describing it as hearty and satisfying, especially the vegetarian options like the lentil sambosa appetizer and vegetarian combo served on injera bread. Some note that the food can be just okay and may not always meet high expectations, but overall, the flavors stand out.

Service at Nafkot can vary; some guests experience attentive service, while others find the staff busy or less responsive, leading to longer wait times despite not being crowded. The restaurant is a good spot to enjoy Ethiopian cuisine and their coffee after the meal, although the atmosphere and bathrooms have been mentioned as areas that could improve. Horrible experience since they changed management. We’ve come there and have been disrespected every time. We used to come here years ago when it was Abyssinia Ethiopia and now they are Naftok and are horrible. They act like they don’t like black people. We bought Injera bread that was bad and they would not exchange it for good bread. The owner was so rude and nasty toward me a black woman. It almost seems as if they treat black women the worse. Please don’t patronize this...read full review

Excellent food at very good prices. On my list to revisit, when in the area.

unfortunately, I did not get the owners name but she was awesome.
although utensils were offered, she encouraged us to eat as it was intended...with your hands.
It was a great experience that I recommend all to try.
