Delicious food I wanted to share with my son, who was visiting from NY. He desired to take me to lunch at a place that offered outdoor dining; so I told him I knew of the perfect restaurant. When we got there (Wednesday, July 22, 2020), Swahili Grill was closed. We thought it was odd when we called to place our order ahead of time, and got no answer; it was apparent after we got there. Loved the food here. I would have like more variety choices on the menu. The chicken was wonderfully flavored with spices that were not too spicy and overall a great blend. I loved the plantains. Very quiet and lowkey place. Only wish it wasn't so much traffic to get there and Google does not say exactly where it is so I got a little lost at first. A must try place if you like authentic african food.

I cant wait to try this restaurant!Given the current Pandemic, I have zero problem understanding that a small business in North Raleigh may have, for safety and to follow Phase I and Phase II North Carolina guidelines and been closed (e.g. the woman's post from July 2020)I cant wait till they are open again, and I pray that all the employees' Families are ok.
