This was actually the first time I had been to Hwy 55 since them opening the new building. I had not ate there in years and I was definitely satisfied with my food, the service and I was in and out of the drive thru in no time.

Six tenders and 85 for ranch and I only received one little small thing of ranch. Why is it that hard to do your job?

This was literally $13….i got 4 tenders and a tiny order of onion rings and a small drink and it was this much. I can’t imagine if I brought the family here it would probably be close to $80….for a simply fast food place. The food is good, but it doesn’t justify me paying that much especially for the lack luster amount of food. Never again…I’ll just go across the street to Wendy’s and get nuggets and fries, I know it won’t be $13 and it will still taste good .

This was our first time at the Richlands, NC HWY 55 Diner and we really enjoyed it! The waitress was very nice, took our drink orders immediately and got drinks to us promptly. She then gave us a few more minutes to decide on food. She kept an eye on us and came back when she saw us put down the menus. The staff was great about accommodating a few special requests (like gravy on my fries). The food came out quickly and was hot and tasty. I had chopped steak which came with a generous amount of peppers, onions and gravy on it. A slightly sweet cole slaw, fries and toasted bread came with the entree, all very good! And then I got a cookies and cream milkshake to go. Handspun, thick, with whipped cream and a cherry. So good! So worth it! I would absolutely eat there again.

I had an order come out wrong last week and spoke to a female manager. She was very nice and took my name said they'd replace it w/o issue at a later date. I tried to reorder the mistake last night and wasn't believed. It was a shrimp po boy,just the sandwich, not a giant order, and definitely not something to lie over, for me anyway! I only ordered a sandwich, that's all I wanted,what I had paid for. My sister had originally asked for no ketchup, it doesn't come with ketchup, but came with their sauce instead. I didn't want any sauce. At no time did they tell her it came with another sauce. They told her it didn't have ketchup. And finished with her order.
I tried to explain to the male manager my predicament. He explained that it came with sauce. I explained that I originally thought it was the shrimp burger, and that's why she asked for no ketchup. That didn't explain why no one made sure that even without ketchup, the po boy still has sauce. I've worked in a lot of restaurants, and making sure the customer is getting the order they truly want is most important.
Basically, the manager gave me a shrimp burger with no ketchup. I also ordered a side of onion rings and an orangeade. The orangeade was straight sugar water! Terrible. The onion rings were pretty good and the sweet young lady with the Dashounds working in the window was super sweet! The manager left a bit to be desired!

I had never been here before and decided to give it a try—or at least attempt to. We walked in and were told to have a seat anywhere. My daughter and I sat and waited, confused if we needed to go up and order since no one came to our table. It wasn’t until we got up to approach the register that someone asked whether we were dining in or ordering to go. I said we were dining in and was told to sit back down and that they would get our waitress. When I looked over, the waitress had a very unpleasant expression. We ultimately decided to leave because we felt unwelcome.

That’s literally the chicken plate now. It no longer comes with a drink either. This HWY 55 is really hit or miss but after tonight I’m done wasting my money praying they don’t screw me on my portions. Back when they first built it the strips weren’t tough & were decent strips… you’d actually get some fries too. Then I’m not sure what was going on with the floor I didn’t see a wet sign but man that floor was slick. I had to brace myself walking in that place!
