Small Brown Stew Chicken on special...I always play it safe and this along with a beef patty is my "go to". The beef patty has seasoned beef but no extra "stuff" in it which I like but my cousin prefers more "flavor and stuff" in hers. The special is just $5!

Not enough chicken for me like the other restaurant. I did think i would get white rice. Amd plus the rice is not season with anything. I think i will stick to my tast of paradise.

Myself and husband ate here and was pleased with the service, atmosphere and food. My husband is from Jamaica and is hard to please when it comes to authentic Jamaican food and he's stated that it reminds him of home..

A friend and I ate there last weekend. Our experience was great; we would definitely go back. Our waitress was very attentive and personable. The atmosphere was very pleasant, relaxing, and conducive to good conversation... very clean...nice wood floors and walls with nice brick-exposed walls as well. I really enjoyed the not so invasive Jamaican music playing in the background. The food was good. I had the curried chicken, rice and peas, and cabbage; my date had the j*** chicken, rice and peas, and cabbage. We both ordered the large portions, but I thought the portions were a little small for large. I wanted plantain, but they were out--which wad not a deal-breaker. I am used to a stronger curry flavor when I eat curried dishes, but again, my food was good overall. I would recommend this restaurant because I/we had an enjoyable experience all things considered.

We used the Real Jamaican Restaurant to cater our event, and they were incredibly professional, and the food was absolutely delicious! We had about 30 guests, and every single person went back for a second plate, and we received nothing but great feedback from our guests. This is a great addition to Rocky Mount, we are happy to have you all here! Will be back soon!

Really odd location, seems they are trying to be trend setters....BUT it has a comfortable and fun atmosphere once inside and the food OMG! We tried the curry goat, ox tail, and j*** chicken.... all were wonderful! I really loved the j*** chicken, the standard sauce has that perfect flavor to kick balance. The sides were good as well, the cabbage surprised me as I generally dont like cabbage dishes but I liked this. If I had to come up with a con; the drink menu could use some work. We will be back, and I'd recommend to anyone who already likes jamaican food or is wanting to try something different.
