Our family of four came into downtown Salisbury to attend the Nutcracker performance at Catawba College. We do not live locally so we didn't prepare for the demand on local restaurants that evening. Without reservations, we were unable to be seated at two other nearby restaurants. My husband walked into Carpe Vinum and despite having no reservations and a quick timeline (45 minutes) they were able to seat us at the bar. The bartender was very pleasant and accommodating. Through her service and the kitchen's quick response, we enjoyed a wonderful meal and never felt rushed. My daughters loved their espresso martini and aperol spritz. Between the four of us, we enjoyed a grilled wedge salad, a caesar salad, lobster bisque, sliders, tuna bites and fried shrimp. It was all wonderful! Thank you again for a great dinner and the hospitality. We will be back!

Fine dining in Salisbury, NC. Great atmosphere and friendly service. My wife and I ordered Tuna medium rare. It was perfectly prepared. The wine selection was good but expensive. Would have liked more wines by the glass.Dietary restrictions: I am lactose intolerant. The wait staff and chef took good care of me.

The food is so good here.However, stop changing things that are not broken.The grilled cheese was so amazing before you changed it. The new style is nowhere as good as the old.And Mackenzie is a great waitress.

First time there and I must say it was fantastic!. Let me start with our server, last name was Roscoe but I can remember her first name. She was just a absolute delight. Positive, animated and very knowledgeable about the menu. Made great recommendations. Such a wonderful young lady! We started our meal with the tuna tartare which was delishious. It came with sliced fresh bread that tasted fresh out of the oven. Just perfect. I also enjoyed an espresso martini with a extra shot of Kailua on the side. My main dish was the Chilean Sea Bass. Superb in every way! Its hard to find good sea bass so i was pleasantly surprised that it was a special for the night. It did not disappoint! My friend had seared sea scallops which came with 6 or 7 medium to large scallops. Normally at most places you get 3 or 4, so this was a positive as well. They were cooked to perfection! The entire experience was just wonderful. I will be returning and highly recommend this dining experience.

One of the best meals ever! Celebrating our 40th Anniversary with friends we opted to order multiple small plates to share. This was our first visit and we wanted to try as many different items as possible! Our server asked how we wanted the meal paced,which we appreciated as it was a celebration, we were taking our time. We had cocktails, all were excellent and well thought out. Chef chosen charcuterie came first,oysters on the half shell,steak tartar, brussels sprouts, grilled cheese sandwich, and more! Each item ordered was fantastic and we look forward to our next visit !

I am so thankful to live in the sophisticated small town of Salisbury, NC and have this restaurant as part of the mix. We had a great meal on Friday night. The food, service, and the ambiance were all fantastic. The staff obviously took great pride in their work, and in their restaurant. Service was far beyond any expectations and equal to what one would expect in a Michelin rated restaurant. Prices are reasonable compared to the experience.Music was a little loud but that would be my only nit. We will be back many times I expect.

Absolutely our favorite place in Salisbury. Not inexpensive, but very good quality and excellent return on the price. Creative menu, exciting options, tapas style allows to try many different things. We love this place

Best restaurant I’ve been to in a while. We were passing through and decided to stop to eat at Carpe Vinum 121. The place is beautiful when you walk in and we were greeted immediately by a cheerful waiter. We had a few of the small plates, all of which were great, the fries and mussels were highlights for us. Our drinks were also really well made and when I was unsure about my selection they offered to replace my drink if I didn't end up liking it. But there was no need for that because the French 75 was wonderful. We were celebrating our anniversary and I mentioned this to who I believe was the owner. She brought us a complimentary slice of cheese cake with a lit candle and card. The slice was very large and incredibly rich. I have never been given a card at any restaurant I've been to when celebrating a special occasion. It was hand written wishing us a happy anniversary and it was signed by the staff and owners. I regretfully got distracted and walked out without the card but it meant a lot to us. I could not recommend this place enough to anyone in the area. I have no doubt it is the best in town.
