“Pickle & Ash: The spot for a guaranteed good time. I took the wife for a much-needed date night, and the vibes were unmatched. From the great food to the clean bathrooms, the whole experience was a solid 4.5 A special shoutout to our waiter, who was super attentive and kind. “Located roughly 6 miles from Hanging Rock State Park down a gravel road that looks like it’s going to take you somewhere from wrong turn. When we first arrived the building looked like an average country dive bar but the inside was surprisingly nice.
We got there a little late but the bartender gave us a beer even after last call. So many beers on draft to choose from!

This place also sits on the river and you can rent kayaks for the day which is a nice surprise. Also, there was a sign about the snakes on the patio. Kinda wanna know the history of it.”

“First time here. Best little ice cream and coffee shop. We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, the great tasting ice cream, the lady who served us was so very nice. We sat outside in the warmth and enjoyed the beauty of this town. To finish up our visit we shopped and picked up a few things created by local artisans at the Arts Place located in the same building.”

“Whenever I make a trip back to NC, I always make a point to visit Tiano's - I love their eggplant parm. I was there recently to see family and not only I made a point to visit Tiano's from Colorado, my niece from Burlington did, as well as other family in town from Georgia and New York. Consistent quality across visits. Great family location. Family faves are eggplant parm, strombolis, any sub, and the pizzas. Highly Recommend!”

“After a long day on the road as a family of six, we stopped by El Puente at 9 PM, grateful to find a place still open in Madison, NC. Despite the late hour, we were greeted with a warm smile, and the restaurant was spotless. The waiter was incredibly patient, even when our restless kids bombarded him with questions and had a few spills. His excellent service made our experience truly enjoyable. Now, the food—wow! By far the best Mexican cuisine we've had across North Carolina, and we've tried many places from the Outer Banks to Asheboro, Raleigh, and Greensboro. El Puente stands out as the top choice for delicious, authentic Mexican food. Highly recommend! We definitely will be back!”

“Friendly staff and the food was good. Though service was slow. Had people come in 10 to 15 minutes after our group came in, and they were getting their food before some of the people in our group did.”

“I am limited on what I can drink because of a sensitivity to caffeine, so the girl working had suggested a hydration refresher and that's all I've been craving since!!!! absolutely delicious, very flexible with their flavors and mixes. i love this place! every drink I've had has been made to perfection each time.”

“Usually I prefer other types of Asian food over Chinese food because Chinese food, no matter what dish I ordered, often would make me feel miserable afterwards. With Golden Dragon though, so far we've eaten their food (take-out) twice and I've not felt miserable at all. I ordered the Chicken and Chinese Vegetables with an order of Vegetable Fried Rice both times and it was consistently delicious. All of the vegetables tasted fresh. My husband ordered Orange Chicken the first time and General Tsos Chicken the second. Both meals were excellent. Had the perfect amount of spice. They also make some sauces in house. I ordered the white sauce and my husband ordered the spicy mustard. Their white sauce is VERY good. The spicy mustard is made with horseradish and it packs a punch. Be warned! I am thrilled to finally have a Chinese restaurant in our rotation that I really enjoy the food. Especially since Chinese food is my husband's favorite Asian cuisine. They also offer a food bar that you can dine-in or take-out. They will provide you with a Styrofoam container to fill and weigh it. We've not tried the bar yet but will on our next visit. The staff are very friendly and will answer any questions you have about what you're ordering. They'll even make your order without MSG, if requested. This does not apply to the bar. Love the atmosphere from the decorative tiles on the ceiling, the ornate light fixtures, etched glass at the entrance, the giant fish tank with gold fish, the large decorative fans on the walls, and all the live plants. It has a very welcoming ambiance. This is now my favorite Chinese restaurant and will be our go-to hence forth. Highly recommend!”

But when it came time time to pay my ticket, there was an Extraa $10 charge for sides that we was told was Included with our meals. Cashier didn't care at All, pay or Else. We told her this is Croocked and should Not be allowed to happen. This large group will Definitely Not be returning to the Mayflower in Danville, Virginia!!!! People be aware..”
