Joey's is a pleasant surprise with enjoyable service, cleanliness, and atmosphere. The food, however, receives mixed reviews. Some dishes, like the Grandmas pie, were once a favorite, but the menu has changed, and deep dish pizzas are no longer available. Other menu items, such as wings, cole slaw, and onion rings, have received criticism for being undercooked, too saucy, or overcooked. Despite this, the restaurant is still worth a try.
