At the end of the day, it's still a chain restaurant. My dining partner seemed happy with his steak and ribs, but I was not particularly wowed by either the shrimp or the salmon. Both seemed particularly bland, lacking seasoning and flavor. But at least the baked potato was good. Our server was kind and courteous.
So on my latest visit I had the pleasure of having Mary as my bartender. Everything about her and her service was on point. She is the one who should be training other employees. She was flawless! And this is a huge factor of your dining experience. She was attentive without being annoying , personable, smiling, friendly etc. I literally could go on and on. We stopped at the Smithfield Outback on our way home to SC. Tatiana was our waitress. Shen. was wonderful - friendly, attentive and upbeat., She gave us advice when we had questions, checked back several times to see how we were doing and if we needed anything, and made our visit truly enjoyable.
