“I've lived only a few miles from Wadesboro for 3.5 years. For some reason, I only just heard about Ansonia Soup Company this past week. I have been stalking their Facebook page and website for the past few days, anxiously awaiting their opening at 11am today (Saturday). All I can say is, omgoodness, absolutely phenomenal! I placed a pretty big order, two bowls, a flight (smaller servings of three different soups), a panini, a loaf of garlic goat cheese bread and blueberry crumble. It's my plan to eat on it all weekend. Well . . . I get home, take a bite or two of each soup, eat 1/2 of the panini, try a bite of blueberry crumple, try a slice of bread. I'm absolutely stuffed! Do I want to stop? No. Do I have to stop eating? Yes! There's no more room in my belly! The consolation in stopping now is, I have plenty for snack and dinner. EVERYTHING, and I mean EVERYTHING is absolutely delicious, flavorful, great ingredients. Not only that, but the atmosphere there is so welcoming. Monica seems to know and welcome everyone, whether you're a regular or brand new like I was. A caring, cozy environment. Today was my first time going, but will definitely NOT be the last time. Heck, I may even go tomorrow for tomorrow's special ?, and there are other paninis that I want to try. Highly recommend! A little gem nestled in downtown/uptown Wadesboro ?.“
“Food is great! Have driven by that for years in our way to the beach from Charlotte. Wadesboro is one of the last places to eat for a long stretch. We took a chance, so glad we did. HOT bar FULL of good old southern cooking. Fried chicken, cornbread, collards and yams so good. Cooking like my grandma it's a lost art. It's a little dated inside but country cute! Who cares if it's clean and food is good.“
“As long as captain d's has been in business it seems like you would give your customers the best service you can offer and why wouldn't you have sliced lemon for the food if asked and tarter sauce without the extra charge especially when you order the large and or platter instead of just one tarter and one shrimp cocktail “
“I love me some Waffle House and this one is the best I’ve ever visited ??!Super clean, friendly staff, professional service, and the grill cook is on point!!! The hash brown and eggs are cooked perfectly. A definite must when traveling to Wadesboro ?“
“My family has travelled from Gastonia to Sunset Beach for years and thought Wadesboro was a terrible place to stop for lunch based on HWY 74. I pulled over in an empty lot on the side of the road (we were going to take a chance) and searched for lunch spots. Oliver's was appealing, had great reviews, and was a few blocks off the highway. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise! Not much going on in the downtown area, Oliver's was definitely the happening spot.We were greeted, seated, and when one of the staff noticed we were right in the air vent's path, he came out and covered it for us.We talked with two servers and both were so pleasant. We had grilled cheeses and the chicken bacon wrap with sides. For dessert, we had banana pudding, bread pudding, and the brownie. Everything was delicious and fresh.Next time we go to the beach, we know where we'll be having lunch.“
