I am impressed with the wait staff, as they are friendly, patient and kind with the elderly and couples with babies. Coffee is better than the usual diner coffee. You know a place is good when you see the same people there week after week.“

“When you are in Washington NC, don’t miss stopping for a drink/food at the Washington Cafe. They have delicious coffee options with many favors to chose from, and their food is delightful! All bakery/baked items are made right there and they are not opposed to doing some special things, so ask. They have acai bowls, salads, home made French toast, breakfast burritos, muffins, cookies , croissant sandwiches, paninis, avocado toast, cheese biscuits, etc. soups, etc. if you are like me and wants options other than burgers and fries, go there. You can also get your coffee in a to go cup so you can take it as you walk along the River. I had a homemade granola (gluten free) bar the other day and it was to die for!!
