Breakfast diner owned & operated by 2 Whiteville locals. It's a nice hang out for people to enjoy some conversation or hit the drive-thru and go. The fresh link sausage is excellent. Ignore the whiner reviews. Etna Diner is quirky, but always good.
Former owner of 701 Drive-in opened the Etna Diner in Courthouse square. They serve classic American food: short order breakfast, burgers, fries, dogs, etc… they also do a wonderful southern style lunch special on weekdays. Building is small, but eating in is possible. Drive through is busy for the rush hours. Call ahead and pickup is available.Food Preparation: 7/10Service: 8/10Cleanliness: 9/10Value: 8/10

If you’re looking for old school burgers and hotdogs at a fair price then look no further. I haven’t had burgers this good since I was a child. I highly recommend this restaurant. And food prep is very quick. No long lines because they have a speedy system in place. Negatives are that the parking is very limited.
