Kapow has become my #1 place for comfort food. We always seem to gravitate here at the end of a long rainy day. Most people seem to get takeout, but we enjoy sitting in and taking our time. I’ve tried a lot of the menu, and everything has been consistently delicious, time and again.
For appetizers, we used to love sharing the dumplings. My only wish is that they gave you 6 instead of 5. Recently, we’ve been jetting the Thai Beef Jerky and the Thai Wings. Both are phenomenal! The jerky in particular is like nothing else I’ve experienced. It’s not like your standard jerky which is tough to chew. This jerky is very tender- you must try it for yourself.
In the past year, I’ve stopped trying new menu items because I am too enamored with the Khao Soi with beef. I think it is the most fulfilling comfort food I’ve had. I like to eat it as it comes, up until I’ve had about half of it. At that point, I add all the side condiments that come with it, which gives it a bit of a different flavor profile. Both are wonderful, so I recommend using this technique to anyone who is curious.
They’ve recently expanded the location. I’ve only been back once since then, but the atmosphere is even better than before. There is a lot more seating and the wallpaper is really fun. They now have sushi, although I haven’t tried it yet, and they’ve expanded their dessert menu, as well. My go-to is the mango sticky rice, but I will update once I’ve tried the others.

Really good, unfortunately the prices have just gotten too much. The lunch menu was perfect! Just enough food at a reasonable price, getting rid of it gives me no reason to go. Won’t be there again until they bring it back
