Wonderful Red Curry! It would’ve been perfect if they had scallops and water chestnuts! Definitely Recommend!!
They have the BEST vegan pad Thai!
Everything we ordered was delicious. No wait time and the food was all well flavored and the portions were just right. Their mango sticky rice is delicious. It should be dessert, but I can eat five plates of them as my main meal. The edamame, Thai iced tea, mango sticky rice pineapple fried rice, curries and pho were a hit. The only minor complaint I had was that the pad see ew was not the flat, wide noodles that are normally served with this dish. They were more like wide glass noodles. Will definitely be returning.

First time eating here. Food was fantastic. Delicious. And the selection of spice that accompanied the food was also delicious. Duck noodle was $$. Also our waitress was fantastic. A+ all around.

We ordered a dish without egg. Which cost two dollars extra. The dish ended up coming with the egg despite telling them no egg. We just pushed it to the side and didn’t eat it. We told them at the end that we did not order it with the egg and that should not be on the bill. They told us because we didn’t say anything at the beginning, they were not going to remove the charge. I think that is super unethical and pretty uncool. Egg still sitting there in the photo not consumed….update: they finally removed the charge, but it wasn’t without a fight. Also, they charged me for extra vegetables when I had ordered tofu and asked if it came with vegetables as well i.e. a tofu vegetable mix. The waiter said yes, and guess what, they added three extra dollars to my bill without having told me it would cost extra. Just trying to up charge us as much as the humanly can. The waiter’s name is Andre and he doesn’t know how to listen, doesn’t know how to communicate. Andre also tried to gaslight us about ordering the dish with egg. I think that we know what we ordered. And the second person at the table heard and could vouch for that and the egg was not eaten because we never wanted it. He became belligerent with us and he has no business being in a customer service role.

I had an ultra negative experience at this restaurant because of a waiter named Andre. I asked for no egg in my dish. It showed up with an egg in it. They were busy, so I tried not to make a big deal about it and I waited to address the issue at the end of the meal. The egg was untouched and not eaten. Andre said that there was nothing he could do about it and that I had asked for the egg. I absolutely did not ask for it. The person I was with also heard me ask for no egg. So then it escalated into a fight. After that, he finally was able to get it removed. Then our bill came and he charged the other person I was with for extra vegetables for a tofu vegetable mix, and did not clarify that vegetables would cost extra for that selection. I’ve never been to an Asian restaurant where they have charged additional for a vegetable tofu mix if chosen as the protein. This individual was belligerent, he was rude, he doesn’t know how to communicate, he has poor listening skills. This person should not be in customer service. Just overall, an ultra negative experience because of this specific individual. I would never come back to this restaurant after the way that he behaved.

Our first time at Kapow Thai Street Food was a pleasant surprise! The restaurant is small and minimal in terms of decor, but the food more than makes up for it. We ordered the Pad Thai with tofu and the Kapow dish with chicken—both were incredibly flavorful. Honestly, I enjoyed the Pad Thai here more than at some of the larger Thai spots in Wilmington. While the atmosphere wasn’t quite what we were looking for, we opted for takeout, and the service was friendly and quick. We’ll definitely be back, but for takeout only!

I went here after moving to Wilmington. I was excited to see all the positive reviews. The location is nice, the staff is kind, the restaurant is simple but clean. I ordered masaman curry with chicken as it is gluten free. My friend ordered pad prik khing with chicken. Having to eat gluten free I am used to slightly disappointing food but as Thai food naturally has a lot of gluten free options it’s usually always good even if it’s not authentic.
My curry was an oily, salty mess. It had exactly 2 pieces of potato in it, some huge carrot chunks, about 5-6 pieces of chicken and about an entire onion. I can get over that as I LOVE onion. Until I bit into one that tasted like fish?? There were oil/grease dots on top of the curry, which was the consistency of broth. Masaman curry at any other place is typically a creamy curry. This one has no creaminess. It tasted of pure salt. The rice was overcooked. I thought it was just mine that was bad, but my friend couldn’t eat hers either as she claimed hers was extremely salty as well. We were extremely disappointed. The staff did not really check on us after the food came out. It’s as if they were aware we were super disappointed. The food was overall inedible if you care about taste. I just wish I had taken a picture of the oil spots on the curry to post with this review.
I have a place I eat at for Thai food, very authentic and the chef/owner is from Thailand. I will continue to drive 2+ hours to eat at his establishment instead of this one which is 20 minutes from where I live.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options available and celiac safe.

Its a nice place with a good location - I ordered online and got takeout on my way home from the beach.
I ordered the chicken pad thai and pan fried potstickers - the pad thai was a little lacking in flavor and the chicken was very dry. The potstickers didn’t have the crispness that comes from being pan seared, however tasted delicious which made up for it in my book.
As someone who orders takeout a lot, I was surprised to find that they did not throw in cutlery.
Overall decent food, and a very convenient location. Food was also prepared in a timely fashion

Since moving to NC a few years ago, I must admit the culinary experience has not been enjoyable. Every time we visit a new restaurant or eatery we feel a bit tense due to amassing misses at finding good food. This place was the same until we tasted all of our food choices. Our delicious and authentic tasting choices were; Thai Wings, Spring Rolls, Tom Kha Soup, Pad Thai w Chicken. An amazing array of culinary perfection. Staff was outstanding and made the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you Montana. We left with a smile and will definitely return again soon.

Excellent food here. Kapow was suggested by a friend and did not disappoint. If I lived in the area this would be a regular place to eat.

Love the food and service, I have never eaten there but we always get it to go. It is always consistent and never a dull plate. Truly a good local spot to eat. Family owned which is even better.

Cute Thai restaurant I would recommend over any higher end establishment. Their dishes have fresh ingredients and full of flavor. Its a small establishment with 10 tables. They are very clean and the staff is friendly.
