Mama Lucias is one of my favorite restaurants. We have always had the best food every time we visit…. BUT this past Friday I was unhappy.. one of my favorite dishes has always been the chicken parmigiana. The chicken has always been delicious plump and juicy but Friday it was so thin very tough and chewy, I couldn’t even tell it was chicken. A diamond in the rough (not a primo location and underwhelming appearance) but AMAZING! A typical Italian is made special because of the dressing-the dressings are homemade and taste like it! Ask for the bread-it’s fresh and the dipping oil has balsamic vinegar in it making it all the better! We had lasagna which was cooked to order served straight out of the oven still sizzling in the piping hot dish and delicious!! Just go to Carraba's. They are a bit cheaper, have a nicer dining area, and give you bigger portions. I literally can't think of one advantage that Mamma Lucia has over them.
