MI REY Taqueria & Grill is a clean and welcoming restaurant on Market Street. The staff is very kind and friendly. The food comes out fast and is fresh, delicious, and flavorful, with great portion sizes at reasonable prices. Many consider it some of the best Mexican food in Wilmington.
Specific meals highlighted include the amazing tacos, the taco combo, a burrito with meat and shrimp, outstanding fajitas and chimichanga, and the chorizo and queso appetizer. The guacamole is fresh and tasty, and the chips and queso are delicious. The red salsa is spicy but very flavorful. Agua Fresca comes in large to-go bottles. The restaurant is noted for cutting its vegetables into extremely large chunks.
The service is excellent, with staff going above and beyond, such as personally delivering a missing part of an order. The overall experience is consistently good, making customers eager to return.
