From a simple “it’s my husband‘s 40th birthday” in our reservation, the team absolutely nailed the service. A handwritten birthday card, a special birthday sip of champagne, and killer service all around… Olivero just nailed it. It’s clear that this restaurant is about more than food, which is wild because the food is hands down some of the best in Wilmington.
We had an amazing experience this evening. You have to make a reservation to be seated at Olivero, at this time. I made mine 6 weeks ago and took the first available. Our service was above and beyond. Our waitress, Sam, was so happy and enthusiastic about the offerings on the menu. We started with the beignet and had the Rigatoni with sausage and the Coal roasted sea bass for our entrées. Their smoked old fashioned and espresso martini were exceptional. Everything we had was delicious. The dates, escabeche, pork shoulder, linguine and cheesecake were stand outs. The cocktails were on point and the service was prefect. We were never rushed, always attended to and Adam was a true pro. The only thing that would make this place over the top drip is a little bit of bread at the table. Olivero is definitely one of our new favorites in Wilmington.
